As anticipation builds for the upcoming release of "Avengers/JLA" #1 in three short weeks, Marvel has issued the following preview of the series. The four-issue series, a co-publication of both Marvel and DC Comics, is written by Kurt Busiek with art by George Pérez. Marvel described the series in a recent press release: "The series features the Earth's Mightiest Heroes - the Avengers - and the World's Greatest Superheroes - the JLA - facing off against cataclysmic threat that only the team's combined forces can hope to withstand."
Issue #2 of the series is solicited in the DC Comics section of the August 2003 Previews Catalog.
