IRON MAN 2

Yes, there is a post-credits easter-egg. Yes, it was missing from the cut of the film screened for critics last week. Yes, everyeye.it (via Collider) has a couple of of stills from it. I'm not reposting the pictures in the interest of spoilers, but click on the link if you want to see it. My review of the film should be up soon. In the meantime, here's Jon Favreau telling MTV News about the deleted material that may end up on the home video release:

Starring Robert Downey Jr., release date: May 7th, 2010

JONAH HEX

Yahoo! has a new poster for the film that features the "Revenge Gets Ugly" tagline. The poster itself, though, feels like a lateral change of the early one:

Release date: June 8th, 2010

LAST DAYS OF AMERICAN CRIME

Rick Remender updates MTV News on the status of the project. "I'd finished the first draft three or four weeks ago, and they flew me out to Los Angeles to meet with the producers. We did notes, and it was a really great session," said the writer.

Release date: TBA

GREEN LANTERN: SECOND FLIGHT

Bruce Timm tells Think McFly Think that while sequels for both "Green Lantern: First Flight" and "Wonder Woman" were planned, they've both been scrapped due to sluggish sales. "It didn't perform nearly as well as what they had hoped it would. In the long run it eventually made its money back, but the sales weren't there right away during its release. Hopefully with the release of the Live Action film next year, that will open up the doors for more Green Lantern relate material." As for "Wonder Woman," Timm says, "Sales started out extremely slow and then over time were eventually able to catch up to probably Justice League Frontier. The Exec's decided because it wasn't able to sell quickly right away, where as Justice League was, that there wouldn't be any more female super hero films right now." I thought both of these movies were quite successful creatively, so its sad to hear the team can't move forward with the concepts.

Release date: TBA

THE THING (BEGINS)

Corona Coming Attractions got its hand on Ron Moore's draft of the film. There has been a subsequent re-write, but Moore's draft is still the framework for the film. "Moore doesn't retcon the story anchors in the '82 Thing. We will get to see how The Thing rampaged through the Norwegian base. We also get to find out other easter eggs that Thing fans will recall, such as why someone at the Norwegian base slit their wrists sitting in a chair, or why the melted two-face Thing body was laying out in the snow for MacReady and Doc Copper to find, or how the two Norg men in the helicopter came to chase the Thing-dog to the American base. In this regard Moore's 'Thing' story is water-tight with the events depicted in Carpenter's film,"

writes CCA's Patrick Sauriol.

Release date: TBA

CLASH 2

According to Deadline, 2012 will bring us a sequel to the remake of "Clash of the Titans," but, writes Deadline's Mike Fleming, "they will make the journey without Louis Leterrier, who will not return for an encore as director. Sam Worthington will return, as well as most every other character that survived." One question the filmmakers will have to solve, finding a phrase as awesome as "Release the Kraken!"

Release date: TBA

BATMAN: UNDER THE RED HOOD

Here at CBR, we have a trailer for the direct-to-video film.

Release date: Summer 2010

GETTING BETTER

So, the spring illness seems to be lifting. I'm in a relative comfort again. That said, I'm seeing the doctor today as I was due for a check-up anyway. In any event, it'll be easier to hit up the press screening I have tonight without constantly rolling a Chloraseptic lozenge around in my mouth. Meanwhile, if any of you in the great, wide Internet discover something awesome, disheartening, or just plain weird, let us know! Take credit, come up with a clever nickname, or go anonymous. The choice is yours. Fresh rumors and movie news every weekday morning. I am Erik Amaya bracing for the future threat of lab fees.
