Scottsdale, AZ - August 13, 2001 - Chaos! Comics shocked retailers and Lady Death readers this past spring with Lady Death's last series, ALIVE, as the famed Diva of Death became human, real flesh and blood, leaving audiences enthralled. Exciting as that event was, Lady Death's journey as a mortal continues in the upcoming Lady Death: Last Rites saga, a four issue series that debuts this September. Previously, when Lady Death: Last Rites was solicited, it was indicated that Lady Death will come to decide if she'll remain alive or return to being immortal in this latest series.

Chaos! has decided to postpone Lady Death's ultimate choice, meaning she won't decide which form she'll embrace within the story arc of Last Rites, but that choice will come shortly thereafter in a future series. Chaos! plans to develop her character even further as a mortal, offering more complexities and unique circumstances for their popular lead character to face, which will really give fans something to talk about around the water cooler.

Lady Death: Last Rites is a 32 page, 4-issue series that retails for $2.99. Issue #1 features stunning life-like cover paintings of Lady Death by Ricky Carralero. Lady Death: Last Rites is in stores 9/26/01.
