THE GREEN HORNET

It's trailer time:

Some have said it look like a standard action movie, but I'd argue the trailer represents the movie the Studio envisioned. Is that a bad thing? Honestly, it's hard to tell at this point. The trailer has the job of introducing the characters to the audience and getting people to by Seth Rogen in this action movie role.

Staring Seth Rogen, release date: January 14th, 2011

DOCTOR STRANGE

As we reported last night here at CBR, "Conan" writers Thomas Connelly and Joshua Oppenheimer are working out a deal to write a film based on "Doctor Strange." It is expected to be one of the first Marvel films to be released by their new parent company, Disney. This being a first draft for the project, I imagine it will shape and change as Marvel develops the story and brings on a director to fit their vision for the character. I imagine Disney might have their say, as well. Meanwhile, our old friend at Bleeding Cool suggests Patrick Dempsey may find himself playing the part.

Release date: TBA

CONAN

Speaking of "Conan," Nu Boyana Film Studios has made this photo of Jason Momoa as the Cimmerian available (via Superhero Hype):

He actually kind of looks like Conan, now ... but still out of place. Perhaps he looks a little too modern for the Hyborian Age?

Release date: 2011

SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD

Director Edgar Wright points to an item on Pitchfork with the complete track list for the soundtrack album. You know it's going to be the hip download of the summer.

Starring Michael Cera and Mary Elizabeth Winstead, release date: August 13th 2010

X-MEN: FIRST CLASS

According to our pals at Spinoff Online, Charity Buzz is auctioning off an opportunity to visit the set of the film. All proceeds go to Project Angel Food. Currently, the bidding is at $2,250. The auction ends on Thursday.

Release date: June 3rd, 2011

THE WALKING DEAD

Over at the official blog, creator Robert Kirkman talks about watching his work become (undead) flesh. "'Surreal,' I guess, is a word I've been saying a lot. 'Amazing' is another word. I was on a movie set last summer that was like a big budget blockbuster, and before I got out here I told myself, 'I'm not going to be seeing the same kind of stuff because they don't have a budget like a summer blockbuster.' But you know what? It's almost bigger. The first day I was here was the day after they had flipped the car and there was a big shootout that we saw. It was just absolutely mind-blowing," he says. Kirkman also praises Andrew Lincoln's portrayal of Rick Grimes. Meanwhile, Ain't It Cool News has posted its first part of a set visit report, featuring a meeting between Kirkman and Jehtro Tull's Ian Anderson and producer Gale Anne Hurd clearing up an old myth about "The Terminator."

Airdate: October

THE SHORTEST NIGHT

So my solstice was spent updating my iProduct to the new version 4 operating system. It seem I wasn't the only was as the download kept timing out. This week also marks the 35th Aniversary of the release of "Jaws," which makes me wonder when the Blu-Ray release of the film might be happening. I geelfully update that film every time Universal releases a new anniversary edition. Meanwhile, if any of you in the great, wide Internet discover something awesome, disheartening, or just plain weird, let us know! Take credit, come up with a clever nickname, or go anonymous. The choice is yours. Fresh rumors and movie news every weekday morning. I am Erik Amaya bracing for the future threat of going back in the water.
