X-MEN: FIRST CLASS

Forces of Geek may have discovered the character Kevin Bacon will play in the film. "One of our FOG! Agents from across the pond has revealed that Kevin Bacon's role in the upcoming X-Men: First Class is that of Sebastian Shaw, leader of the Hellfire Club,"they write. In an unusual turn of events, we know an actor will be a film without knowing the character he will play. I speculated last week he could be anyone from the Shadow King to Apocalypse. The Hellfire Club isn't outside the realm of possibility.

Release date: June 3rd, 2011

CONAN

Over at Conan's Facebook page, several new photos have arrived, such as this one:

Release date: 2011

THE BOYS

Directo Adam McKay tells Collider he is in talks to make the film and shares a little of his vision for it:

Release date: TBA

THOR

Hot of the presses! While compiling the Reel this morning, we here at CBR spotted another picture from the film as seen in Sunday's edition of The Los Angeles Times. This photo offers a glimpse at the Hall of Asgard and a few other characters in the film:

Starring Chris Hemsworth, release date: May 6th, 2011

GATCHAMAN

According to Twitchfilm, Imagi Studios intends to go forward with its animated treatment of "Science Team Gatchaman," despite a poor showing for their previous film, "Astroboy." They've even have a teaser trailer for the project -- though they suggest it may have been completed before Imagi's money troubles.

Release date: 2011?

RED

Our pals at Spinoff Online have two more posters, I'll just post the one of Mary-Louise Parker because I find her nicer to look at than Karl Urban. Granted, he's no slouch, either

Release date: October 22nd, 2010

PRIEST

Slashfilm has a number of new photos from the film that is often in search of a release date. I like the look and feel of this particular one:

That's some wasteland goodness right there.

Release date: May 13th, 2011

SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD

Our old friend at Bleeding Cool has an update on the "Scott Pilgrim" poster being applied to the Hilton Bayfront Hotel in San Diego:

Starring Michael Cera and Mary Elizabeth Winstead, release date: August 13th 2010

COMIC-CON DAY -2

Oh boy, it's going to be a big Comic-Con based on all the pre-show work we've been doing behind the scenes here at CBR. With more panel, press conferences and locations than ever before, there's going to be lots to report. If you have done so already, feel free to follow me on Twitter as I do update there more often during convention time. Meanwhile, if any of you in the great, wide Internet discover something awesome, disheartening, or just plain weird, let us know! Take credit, come up with a clever nickname, or go anonymous. The choice is yours. Fresh rumors and movie news every weekday morning. I am Erik Amaya bracing for the future threat of walking the Gaslamp.
