Though screencaps appeared online a few weeks back, up through Comic-Con International in San Diego the only way for fans to see the live action test footage of a proposed "Blue Beetle" TV show was to be at a DC Comics panel.

In fact, DC's Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns unveiled the footage at his CCI spotlight panel, saying "There's tests all the time and stuff they do, and I want to start taking that and showing it to you guys early because why not?"

Today, it appears that attitude has leaked on out from DC as the footage is currently on YouTube. Directed by "Ben10" live action helmer Alex Winter, the brief clip shows Jaime Reyes' transformation from teen to superhero via the alien scarab fused to his spine.
