RUNAWAYS

Our pals at Spinoff Online noticed a casting sheet has been released for the film. "The Disney Film Auditions blog notes that while the website says “Small Faces,” it is indeed for Runaways; casting directors originally wanted to keep the call discreet," they write. The fim is expected to start shooting in January.

Release date: TBA

GREEN LANTERN

Our old friend at Bleeding Cool hears tell that the sequels are already well into development. "So confident of a smash are Warner Bros, that they already making big plans to use current shooting location New Orleans as a stand-in for DC’s Coast City in the sequel, which will be announced for either a Summer or Christmas 2012 release, depending on where the Flash movie fits in. And if the first film does the megabucks they are expecting, then Warners will greenlight a third Green Lantern movie to be shot back to back with the second, for release in 2013," he writes.

Starring Ryan Reynolds, release date: June 17th, 2011

SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD

Here at CBR, we have an interview with Allison Pill and Mark Webber, who play Kim Pine and Stephen Stills -- the other two members of Sex Bob-omb. Weber discussed providing Stephen with his singing voice. "It was said to me very early on, 'Look Mark, you'll have a shot at this. If you can record these songs and its good enough, we're going to use your voice.' If not, they were probably going to use Kevin [Drew] as [Stephen's] vocals," he said. Turns out he sang well enough to provide his character with vocals. Meanwhile, Yahoo! has a new interactive trailer for the film:

Starring Michael Cera and Mary Elizabeth Winstead, release date: August 13th 2010

THOR

JUSTICE LEAGE OF AMERICA

Pietro Filipponi at Comic Book Movie hears the JLA is a go again. "A 'Justice League of America' film has been given the tentative green light by Warner Bros. Though the film is still in it's very, very early stages (no script has been officially worked on, but the basic plot is outlined), actors are quietly being pursued to test for the roles. The big surprise is the current team roster: Green Lantern, The Flash, Wonder Woman, Aquaman and Martian Manhunter. That's right, folks, no Superman or Batman; at least not yet. The film will be used to introduce Wonder Woman, Aquaman and Martian Manhunter to general audiences. Both Green Lantern and The Flash movies would have already been released in theaters, so there would be no need to delve into their origins," he writes. Of course, "tentative" is the key word here. If the rumor is true, it could still be shifted around on the schedule. Time will of course tell.

Release date: TBA

FATHOM

Filipponi also hears actor Kevin Pennington is joining Megan Fox on "Fathom," should it ever get made. Pennington has been rumored for many films over the past year or so.

Release date: TBA

RED

Here at CBR was at the press conference for the film following their Comic-Con panel. Helen Mirren discussed Harvey Pekar. "He revealed the fact that a graphic novel could be as deep, complex, personal and psychological as any other work of art - novel, movie, painting, anything," she said.

Release date: October 22nd, 2010

SUPERMAM/SHAZAM! THE RETURN OF BLACK ADAM

The Los Angeles Times Hero Complex blog has a first look at the short film, which will appear on the upcoming "DC Showcase" DVD.

Release date: Fall 2011

THE WALKING DEAD

The official AMC blog has a nice video about making up a zombie:
