THE AVENGERS

According to Superhero Hype, the film will being shooting in Feburary of 2011. Just to recap, "Directed by Joss Whedon, the anticipated film stars Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Mark Ruffalo as Hulk, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow and Clark Gregg as Agent Phil Coulson," they write. It's like an old Irwin Allen disaster movie. Except with Marvel superheroes.

Directed by Joss Whedon & starring everybody, release date: May 4th, 2012

SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD

Here at CBR, we have an interview with the ladies of Scott Pilgrim's life, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Ellen Wong. "What's cool with her is that everything she goes through in the film, it's her first time feeling it. I think she's so uninhibited, her feelings are so unconstrained. In a way, I think Scott was dating her because she's easy, but she doesn't see it that way. She's going on this ride, this journey, trying to figure out what it means to be in love, what it means to have your heart broken. The way she takes that on in the film is the only way she could have been able to handle all the situations, because it really was her first time. She didn't know how to put up her guard or judge certain situations or scenarios because she hasn't yet been tainted by the realities of this world," said Wong of her character Knives Chau (17 years old). Meanwhile, MTV News has video of their visit to the set of the film:

Also, you can listen to the film's score and soundtrack (yes, there is a difference) over at Spinner.com.

Starring Michael Cera and Mary Elizabeth Winstead, release date: August 13th 2010

BLACK HOLE

Pajiba reports David Fincher will no longer be involved in the adaptation of the Charles Burns comic series. As they put it, "With 'The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo' trilogy in the works, David Fincher has unnattached his name from [it]."

Release date: TBA

CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER

Chris Evans tells MTV News about the tough decision to take on the role:

Starring Chris Evans, release date: July 22nd, 2011

NEMESIS

Mark Millar tells Empire Magazine that he wants the biggest names possible for the film. "The thing is, one guy has to be as good as the other. You've got Holmes versus Moriarty here or Batman versus The Joker, so each one has got to be a $20 million actor, really. I think you could go for the A+ list and get Johnny Depp as Nemesis and Brad Pitt as Blake Morrow." Time will tell if Millar gets his wishes.

Release date: TBA

CHRONICLE

Heat Vision reports Fox is planning to pick up a spec script from Max Landis with superhero themes. A "spec" script is one written without a cash advance or studio guidance with the hopes of a pay day later one. Some writers never work "on spec." It also means the script is a new concept, like this one. According to the article, "Chronicle" is about "three Portland teens that become exposed to a mysterious substance in the woods, and, as a result, begin to develop incredible powers. They work together to hone their skills for fun, until personal and family problems begin to turn them against one another."

Release date: TBA

SPIDER-MAN: TURN OFF THE DARK

According to The Los Angeles Times, the Spider-Man musical is on again with openning dates. "The production, directed by Julie Taymor and featuring music by Bono and the Edge, will begin preview performances at the newly renamed Foxwoods Theatre (formerly the Hilton Theatre) on Nov. 14 and will open on Dec. 21," writes the Times' David Ng. We'd like to welcome "Turn Off the Dark" back to the Reel's official calendar of releases.

Opens: Decemeber 21st, 2010

THE WALKING DEAD

MTV News spoke with composer Bear McCreary about writing for the series:

Airdate: October

GAME DAY

So, I did have a chance to get through the Mage's Tower in "Dragon Age." It seems I walked away from the game just as I started the final fight in the tower. Today, I may finally have time to get a few good hours cleared in that title. Maybe I can finally get to the expansion disc. Meanwhile, if any of you in the great, wide Internet discover something awesome, disheartening, or just plain weird, let us know! Take credit, come up with a clever nickname, or go anonymous. The choice is yours. Fresh rumors and movie news every weekday morning. I am Erik Amaya, ready for the future threat of a video game shame pile.
