PSYCHOPOMP

Heat Vision reports the script "Psychopomp" will become both a feature film and graphic novel. "'Psychopomp' is the name of the title character, a foul-mouthed anti-hero who roams international hot spots with state-of-the art weapons and technology with the aim of destroying those who violate his code. The script has been described as having tones similar to 'A Clockwork Orange' and 'The Dark Knight'," they write. The film version will be produced by Hilary Shot, one of the people behind "Children of Men.

Release date: TBA

TRON LEGACY

A reader at SlashFilm found a different version of the trailer being used as tech demo at the Nokia Connection 2010 Convention in Singapore. Though it's quite similar to one we've seen before, it offers a few extra things:

Starring Jeff Bridges, release date: December 17th, 2010

SUPERMAN/BATMAN: APOCALYPSE

Here at CBR, we have an interview/press release concerning Ed Asner's return to the role of Granny Goodness. "I'm thinking she's a lot of chest, a lot of high pressure steam, and that she's probably got a constant focus on vengeance and wreaking havoc on whoever she can," he says of voicing the character. "And I want to get away with as much damage as I can in as high-flown an effeminate form as possible."

Release date: September 28th, 2010

SPIDER-MAN (BEGINS)

Superhero Hype spotted this AP article about Sony's plans for the home video release of the film. Mainly, it concerns Sony's glasses-free 3D displays. According to the article, "They require the viewer to stand in specific spots for the 3-D effect to emerge, and the image quality is much lower than that of screens using glasses." How that will work out in practice remains to be seen.

Release date: May 28th, 2012

XIII

According to The Hollywood Reporter, "XIII" will be coming to TV screens in France and Canada next year with Stuart Townsend set to star. "Townsend will play 'XIII,' a former secret agent who cannot remember his past and thus sets out to uncover his true identity. Hunted by an anti-government organization, XIII quickly realizes that the closer he gets to the truth, the more deadly the mission becomes," they write.

Airs: 2011 abroad, TBA in the US

SMALLVILLE

According to Michael Ausiello at Entertainment Weekly, the Isis appearing in the series will not be the member of the Black Marvel Family. "It's an inhabitation story," executive producer Brian Peterson tells Ausiello. "Lois is actually going to be possessed by the spirit of Isis." There will be nods to the DC character, though. Ausiello also has a little info on Chloe's status on the show from Petersen: "Allison Mack will appear in the premiere and then return 'in the middle of the season in a very impactful way in Clark's life,

'" he writes, quoting the producer.

Returns: September 24th, 2010

WEEKEND WARRIOR

Get me a rum drink and cue up the Mariachi band -- It's the Weekend! My car is in working order again, and while I still haven't slayed that Archdemon, I'm enjoying "Dragon Age Origins: Awakenings" for its mix of characters. Meanwhile, if any of you in the great, wide Internet discover something awesome, disheartening, or just plain weird, let us know! Take credit, come up with a clever nickname, or go anonymous. The choice is yours. Fresh rumors and movie news every weekday morning. I am Erik Amaya, ready for the future threat of actually finishing the game.
