Citizens Empowerment Center Honors Avi Arad

The American Friends of the Citizens’ Empowerment Center in Israel will host an exclusive gala, “From Vision to Reality”, on September 26, 2010 at the Grand Ballroom of the Kodak Theatre in the Hollywood / Highland Complex.

Film producer Avi Arad, the event honoree, will be presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award for his outstanding legacy as an impressive role model for today’s youth. The 5 top “Ambassador” student winners from Israel, and award-winning teacher, will also be acknowledged for significant educational achievements.

Approximately 500 guests are expected, including Israel’s Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon and other prominent community members, business/entertainment industry leaders, and Israeli and U.S. dignitaries. The evening will boast a red carpet reception at 6:30 pm and dinner at 7:30 pm. A high-tech multimedia show will follow, featuring the faces and sounds of Israel through lights, music, and dance. The presentation will highlight Israel's 62 years of accomplishments, her different ethnic backgrounds, and the quest for empowering citizens through education.

Event Co-Chairs are: Adele and Beny Alagem, Dora and Neil Kadisha, Parviz and Pouran Nazarian, and Cheryl and Haim Saban.

The importance of education and leadership for the next generation will be highlighted throughout the course of the evening.
