With a roster of celebrated columnists including Mark Millar, Warren Ellis, Erik Larsen, Jason Aaron and many more, Comic Book Resources is proud to announce the latest addition to its line-up: veteran comics writer Ron Marz.

After more than two decades writing comics, Marz has established himself as both a creative heavyweight and an outspoken man. Currently the lead architect for the Top Cow Universe, he writes such Top Cow titles as "Witchblade," "The Magdalena" and the universe-spanning epic "Artifacts," Marz also has a penchant for speaking about a variety of topics, often offering his opinions on comics, music, sports and more.

"It's me running my yap," Marz said of the as-yet unnamed column. "The longer answer is it's me trying to convey some of what I've learned in two decades of doing this job, whether it's the craft of writing, or the business of comics, or something else that flits around in my brain. For better or worse, I'm told I have a reputation for speaking my mind and saying what I actually think."

CBR has a rich history of providing a platform to comic creators with a particular vantage point and Executive Producer Jonah Weiland sees Ron Marz as the perfect fit to uphold that tradition. "Having Ron join our ranks is a real coup for CBR," said Weiland. "After recently adding Jason Aaron to the fold, I had to find someone with a very different voice and perspective on the industry, and I found that in Ron. He brings more than twenty years of experience to the gig with a no holds barred attitude to his commentary. He's seen it all, from his days writing Kyle Rayner at DC, the ups and downs of working at CrossGen and currently as the driving force behind the Top Cow Universe. Ron's will be a unique voice amongst the august ranks of CBR columnists."

With a background in journalism and a desire to give back to the industry, Marz assures readers his twice-monthly column won't just be long-winded tirades or self-promotion. "More than anything, I want to pass along what I've picked up in twenty years of writing comics and working for most of the publishers out there," said Marz. "Like everything else, comics evolve, but I think there are constants that each generation has a responsibility to pass along to the next generation and that's true for creators as well as fans."

Ron Marz will launch the column in November exclusively at Comic Book Resources.
