WE3

Grant Morrison tells MTV News the project is still in a holding pattern. "Relativity Pictures keeps saying they're doing it, and they still haven't done it," he says. "That's where we stand right now. There's some news coming that I can't say anything about that might be good for 'We3,' but so far that's where we stand." He also talks about the Hollywood take on "Joe the Barbarian" now in the works.

Release date: TBA

GREEN LANTERN

Just in case you missed it, the trailer has landed:

Judging by the comments, some are still worried by Reynolds's performance and the look of the costume. Of course, I think the costume would be controversial no matter what. But have your say as we've set up a poll to gauge your reactions. Go vote now.

Starring Ryan Reynolds, release date: June 17th, 2011

THE AVENGERS

Mark Ruffalo talked with IGN about the character and the scrutiny of the Internet. "It's like doing a sex scene. It's like doing a sex scene with 20 total strangers standing around and someone telling you how you can do it better. All eyes are on you, right?" he jokes. "I'm waiting to get the finished draft of the script because I don't know what I'm going to be doing until I get that, but I'm hoping that he's just going to be a dynamic, nuanced character."

Directed by Joss Whedon & starring everybody, release date: May 4th, 2012

CONAN

The fine folks at Comicus.it have an interview with stunt performer Monique Ganderton. "Its old school hard hitting stunt action. Real stunts, not a lot of CG. We did most things practical. The actors stepped it up HUGE and learned some crazy skills," she says of the shoot.

Release date: August 19th, 2011

THE THING (BEGINS)

Producer Marc Abraham explains the film's delay to HitFix. "The filmmakers have a cut of the movie and that they are now hoping to use this next round of photography to enhance existing sequences or to make crystal clear a few story beats or to add punctuation marks to the film's feeling of dread," writes HitFix's Drew McWeeny. "Abraham spoke about how confident he was in the work by Matthijs van Hijningen Jr., the film's director, and how proud he is of his cast, including Joel Edgerton and Mary Elizabeth Winstead. He knows how important both the monster moments and the connective character material are to the film working, and they're looking at everything right now to make sure they've got what they need.

Release date: TBA

HUMAN TARGET

Here it at CBR, we have a couple of interviews with stars Chi McBride and Jackie Earl Halley. "Having a boss and a woman who has absolutely no experience in any kind of law enforcement, protection, fire arms, dealing with the fact [is] kind of a pain in the ass, but she's got a billion dollars! You gotta pick your battles," McBride says of the new status quo, in which the group now work for billionaire Ilsa Pucci, played by "Rome" vet Indira Varma. "I think it just starts to add a bit more depth," says Halley of the additions to the case. "We get these two new characters: one is Ames, who is kind of a despicable mini-me Guerrero, and then we get Ilsa, who becomes our benefactor and becomes in charge of the group in a sense. I think these two characters help to define the three guys from last season, as well as to find themselves."

Returns: November 17th, 2010

DOCTOR WHO

Eleventh Doctor Matt Smith appeared on "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" last night and the video is already on YouTube:

Returns: Christimas 2010, Series Five DVD/Blu-Ray available now

SMALLVILLE

Actor Alan Ritchson talked with Movieweb about returning to the Aquaman role. "We pick up and go. Its like, 'Aquaman is here. Lets just do this!'" he says of the character's return. The story will touch on where he's been the last few years. "You will see a little bit of that. AC has always been an island. He is a very fiery individually. Very passionate. He is going to do whatever it takes to back his passions, regardless of whom he gets around him. You will still see that today. By nature, he is a good person. He wants good to succeed." Meanwhile, TV Guide has some loose spoilers for the next handful of episodes. There is mention of Chloe, so proceed with caution.

STAYING ALIVE

A BeeGees pack dropped for "Rock Band" yesterday featuring such songs as "Tragedy", "Staying Alive", and "You Should Be Dancing." Yes, I am excited about this. Sadly, I haven't had a chance to play the songs, but hopefully there will be a "Rock Band" party soon. Meanwhile, if any of you in the great, wide Internet discover something awesome, disheartening, or just plain weird, let us know! Take credit, come up with a clever nickname, or go anonymous. The choice is yours. Fresh rumors and movie news every weekday morning. I am Erik Amaya, bracing for the future threat of dropping even more dough on "Rock Band" DLC.
