THE DARK KNIGHT RISES

Christian Bale tells Screenjunkies that he's not even sure the title director Christopher Nolan announced is the final one. "I don't even know if that's true," he says. "Until Chris tells me, I don’t know." Is it possible Nolan offered up that title to get all of us off his back? Will I have to stop using "rises" puns?

Release date: July 20th, 2012

THE WOLVERINE

It's video day today as Movie City News (via Comic Book Movie) talks with Darren Aronofsky about the film:

Release date: 2012?

BATMAN LIVE

The Manchester Evening News (via Superhero Hype) have more details about the stage show. "In the arenas you can have pyrotechnics and large video screens and lots of action. An event like this deserves to be in a big space," says Nick Grace, the show's creator. The storyline will focus on the origin of Robin and feature, "a long runway stage will take the action right into the audience and a giant 130ft video screen will provide stunning backdrops and animations to drive the story along." Also, a full scale Batmobile.

Release date: TBA

THE WALKING DEAD

The AMC official blog has a Q& A with actress Emma Bell, who plays Amy. She talked about the bond formed between her and Laurie Holden, who plays her sister on the show. "It starts back around January of last year, to be honest. She had a friend who emailed her saying, 'You need to check out my friend's daughter. She's in a film going to Sundance and I think you need to check it out.' Then, when she finds out I'm cast as her sister, she's like, 'Emma Bell, that sounds so familiar.' So she goes back in her emails and sure enough that email is talking about me. She called me and then while we were on the phone we found out we have the exact same birthday," she explains.

BADGE DAY

Anybody have luck getting into the reservation system today? I tried to get one for a close friend, but it seems we comic fans have cooked more servers yet again. Meanwhile, if any of you in the great, wide Internet discover something awesome, disheartening, or just plain weird, let us know! Take credit, come up with a clever nickname, or go anonymous. The choice is yours. Fresh rumors and movie news every weekday morning. I am Erik Amaya, bracing for the future threat of San Diego in July.
