THE DARK KNIGHT RISES

Various sites are reporting the script is due today. Their source? This Twitter post by Variety writer David S. Cohen: "Chris Nolan told me his The Dark Knight Rises script is due Monday or he's in big trouble. Big trouble? What can they do? Fire him?" Meanwhile, Aaron Eckhart faces the "Will Harvey Dent be back?" question for the last time as he tells MTV News that he will not be reprising his role from "The Dark Knight."

Release date: July 20th, 2012

DREDD

As we reported here at CBR on Friday, the first footage from the film will screen at the Kapow!Con in London next year. According to producer Andrew MacDonald (via the press release), "It is fantastic to be involved with Kapow! and I'm really looking forward to talking to all the fans about our upcoming Dredd movie. I'll be on the 2000AD panel with a little taster of what people can look forward to from our 2012 release."

Release date: TBA

SPIDER-MAN (BEGINS)

We also reported the casting of Campbell Scott and Julianne Nicholson as Peter's rarely seen parents and Irrfan Khan and Annie Parisse. Khan will play a character called Van Atter, who MTV News suggests will become the "Proto-Goblin." Also, with Nicholson and Parisse onboard, the film gets an double dose of "Law & Order" alumni. Meanwhile, Just Jared has photos of star Emma Stone with her new blond look:

SPIDER-MAN: TURN OFF THE DARK

Another day, another injury on the sets of the Spider-Man musical. According to the New York Post, actress Natalie Mendoza, who plays the villainous Archane, was struck by a rope during the first preview performance. Though she felt fine and continued on, she was diagnosed with a concussion on Thursday. "Her understudy, America Olivo, a former Playboy cover model, will take over the role," they write.

Opens: December 2011

RAVEN

Our pals at Spinoff Online report the DC Teen Titan Raven is coming to television. The series will be produced by "Buffy" vet Diego Gutierrez. "Just how the television Raven will differ from the comic-book version remains to be seen. It seems likely The CW series will downplay or completely disregard her involvement with the Teen Titans, focusing instead on the character’s other-dimensional aspects," writes Spinoff.

Release date: TBA

THE CAPE

NBC released a new promo for the series:

Airdate: January 9th, 2011

THE WALKING DEAD

Creator Robert Kirkman talked with Entertainment Weekly about the season finale. Since I haven't watched it, I'm putting a big spoiler tag around this. "He did a really good job of putting a button on the sixth episode, just in case things went horribly awry," he said of executive producer Frank Darabont. "At the same time, there’s a lot of questions and he leaves you with a sense of, 'Where are they going down this road and what is going to happen next?' So there's a lot of room for continuation. But if it had been a disaster we wouldn't have looked like a–holes."

Airs: 2011

SMALLVILLE

Geoff Johns noted on his Twitter page last Friday: "It's Friday! Which means I'll be working on my #Smallville episode this weekend -- it's episode 17 and it's titled 'BOOSTER' :)" I can't wait to see who they cast in the role.

Airs: Fridays

TREE TRIMMING

The tree trimming went great and only got a single scratch while lugging the tree up the stairs. Rock Band was played and drinks were served. Might be nice to do it again sometime. Meanwhile, if any of you in the great, wide Internet discover something awesome, disheartening, or just plain weird, let us know! Take credit, come up with a clever nickname, or go anonymous. The choice is yours. Fresh rumors and movie news every weekday morning. I am Erik Amaya, bracing for the future threat of tree disposal.
