In the immediate moments following today's news that Marvel Comics Axel Alonso had been promoted to Editor-in-Chief of the company, the first question on many fans minds was "What's up with Tom Brevoort?"
Alonso's partner in CBR's regular Marvel T&A interviews and a longtime fixture of Marvel Editorial, Brevoort has not been forgotten by the company as outgoing E-i-C/current Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada announced via his Twitter account:
"Congrats to @axelalonsomarv, a much overdue promotion! Also congrats to @Tombrevoort and his promotion to Senior Vice Pres of Publishing!"
CBR News reached out to Marvel about the Tweet, and a representative confirmed the promotion, saying that more word from both men would be coming at the first availability.
