CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER
Okay, the Super Bowl has come and gone, so it's time to round up all the ads for the onslaught of comic book inspired movies. Let's start with Cap (via Yahoo!):
Did they digitally enhance Chris Evans into a ninety-eight pound weakling? That's some good work. Here at CBR, we have a gallery of screenshots from the spot.
Starring Chris Evans, release date: July 22nd, 2011
According to Latino Review, the mysterious lead female role is none other than ... Ursa, the Kryptonian villainess? "Now expect the powers that be to deny deny and deny," they write. Speaking of denials, Diane Kruger tells MTV News that the rumors linking her with the role are false. "I don't know who launched them but it's not true," she says. Finally, director Zack Snyder tells The Los Angeles Times Hero Complex blog that his favorite Superman artists are Jim Lee and Curt Swan. "The way he draws that jawline, it is like Mt. Rushmore, totally, or like ‘The Incredibles.’ Swan is really good," he says of the classic Superman penciller. As for Lee, Snyder opines, "My taste level goes to the more, I guess, muscular Superman. The bigger, more muscular Superman, the way Jim draws him."
Release date: 2012?
Yahoo! also offers us a new look at "Thor."
Gasp. This one is looking better and better. Again, we have a selection of screenshots from the spot.
Starring Chris Hemsworth, release date: May 6th, 2011
COWBOYS & ALIENS
We also have the Super Bowl Ad for "Cowboys & Aliens," which looks spectacular:

CineHeroes.net grabbed the SuperBowl ad and posted it to YouTube so we can all enjoy the vampire craziness:
Release date: May 13th, 2011
Last week's other mystery role -- Nick Fury's sidekick -- will be S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Maria Hill and Cobie Smulders will most likely get the part, according to Deadline. "Smulders wasn't completely unknown to [Director Joss] Whedon. In fact, he liked her as a candidate for 'Wonder Woman' when he was working on that superhero film," writes Deadline's Mike Fleming. Meanwhile, the Yvonne Strahovski fansite Strahotski.net (via Comic Book Movie) offers this interesting rumor: "I've just received information from a protected source inside Marvel that points to Yvonne Strahovski being cast in the upcoming Avengers movie as Ms. Marvel."
Directed by Joss Whedon & starring everybody, release date: May 4th, 2012
According to the One Ring.net, filming on the two-part film will finally commence next month. Specifically, on the 21st of March. Hopefully, it'll be a smooth production phase.
Release date: 2012
Kryptonsite has a few preview images for the upcoming episode titled "Fortune," including this one of Lois ... offered without comment:
The site also reports that John Schneider will make another appearance on the show as Jonathan Kent.
Since it was such a video-filled morning, here's another one. Dana Carvey hosted "Saturday Night Live" over the weekend and reunited with Mike Myers as Wayne and Garth. Together, they make Oscar picks, mainly centering on "Winter's Bone." You can probably guess where things go from there ... really childish innuendo. It gets funnier the looser the two get:
Meanwhile, if any of you in the great, wide Internet discover something awesome, disheartening, or just plain weird, let us know! Take credit, come up with a clever nickname, or go anonymous.
