THOR

As the first superhero movie out of the gate this year, the marketing machine for the film is getting into high gear. Our pals at Spinoff Online spotted this new "Thor" clip that may contain a glimpse of Hawkeye:

Also, Superhero Hype snapped a photo or five of this two-part billboard in Los Angeles:

Finally, star Chris Hemsworth talks about the billboards and ads with IGN. "It's still sort of surreal to see the billboards come up and you start to see the trailers playing and you say, 'Wow, it's actually happening.' But a year and a half ago when I first got cast, I was certainly informed of how big it was gonna be so I've had that time to think about it, but yeah you still double-take at billboards and go, 'What the hell is that?!'" He also mentions training for "The Avengers," which begins shooting in a few weeks.

Starring Chris Hemsworth, release date: May 6th, 2011

THE CROW (BEGINS)

According to The Hollywood Reporter, director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo ("28 Weeks Later") has been tapped to helm the reboot. They mention singer/songwriter and Bad Seeds frontman Nick Cave wrote the most recent draft, but that the new director will call for rewrites.

Release date: TBA

PRIEST

Bleeding Cool got its hands on the animated prologue. The animation is by Genndy Tartakovsky, who created "Samurai Jack." I should probably mention that it's a little bit graphic.

Release date: May 13th, 2011

THE AVENGERS

Mark Ruffalo gets all of his standard quotes about playing the Hulk into this quick interview with SuperheroHype/Comingsoon.net.

I bet it was late in the day when they got to him; can't fault a guy for being tired.

Directed by Joss Whedon & starring everybody, release date: May 4th, 2012

THE ADVENTURES OF TINTIN: PRISONERS OF THE SUN

Writer Anthony Horowitz told the Richard Bacon Radio 5 talk show in the UK (via Bleeding Cool) that he'll be writing the sequel. "If ['The Secret of the Unicorn'] is a success and works and gets an audience I'm writing the sequel to it, 'Prisoners of the Sun,' which Peter Jackson is going to direct," he said. The plan has long been for Jackson to helm the sequel. He produced the first "Tintin" film for director Steven Spielberg, who will assume the producer role on the second.

Release date: TBA

X-MEN: FIRST CLASS

Jennifer Lawrence talks with Total Film about her version of Mystique. "In this film she's a kind of insecure girl, who's discovering herself, her sexuality and her opinion of things," she says of the character.

Release date: June 3rd, 2011

MARVEL ANIME

G4 (via Spinoff Online) has a few minutes of the "Wolverine" anime project.

Airdate: TBA

GREEN LANTERN: EMERALD KNIGHTS

Here at CBR, we have an interview with producer and frequent DC Universe Animated writer Stan Berkowitz. He discussed putting the project together. "It was put together carefully in that we started with a story that was the origin of the Green Lanterns, then we went to a story about how they get trained and then into a story about their personal lives," he said. "We went to the story of Mogo for some fun, then we went into a story that sort of leads us toward 'Blackest Night.'" Beyond writing the wrap-around story, he coordinated the individual scripts amongst such writers as Peter Tomasi and Geoff Johns. ""I went after these writers because I wanted to hear their voices, so I didn't try to fool around with them too much and I didn't have to," he continued.

Release date: June 7th, 2011

SMALLVILLE

Entertainment Weekly has a few more details on Jor-El's role in the upcoming episode, "Prophecy." Clark and Lois go to the Fortress of Solitude to tell his disembodied father about their marriage plans, which leads to Lois getting powers and Clark losing them. "I think Jor-El's parenting style has always been about making Clark learn lessons for himself," producer Brian Petersen tells EW. "And this is an episode where he is sharing that lesson not only with Clark, but also with Lois. And so it's about seeing Lois as a possible life partner for Clark." The magazine also has a brief promo that, sadly, cannot be embedded here.

Airs: Fridays

BIRTHDAY WEEKEND

Get me a Rainwater Martini and cue up Sylvester Stallone's "Staying Alive" -- it's my birthday weekend! That means plenty of good times and some "Rock Band." Also, it probably means forcing someone to watch the regrettable sequel to "Saturday Night Fever." Meanwhile, if any of you in the great, wide Internet discover something awesome, disheartening, or just plain weird, let us know! Take credit, come up with a clever nickname, or go anonymous. The choice is yours. Fresh rumors and movie news every weekday morning. I am Erik Amaya, bracing for the future threat of post-birthday comedown.
