In the DC Comics event "Final Crisis," writer Grant Morrison spun a story that stretched from the earliest days of man through to the far flung future. And now it appears as though the writer will be taking a similar story to Hollywood, though sans the superheroics.

Deadline today has the scoop that the acclaimed creator is teaming with comics publisher and movie concept clearing house Liquid Comics as well as "Men In Black" director Barry Sonnenfeld for a graphic novel-to-film concept called "Dominion: Dinosaurs Versus Aliens." The story involves an alien invasion of earth during prehistoric times that's repelled by a breed of super-intelligent dinos.

"Growing up, my fascination was all things dinosaur, and as an adult, I've had some success making films about aliens, so this is a dream come true," the director explained.

The project will be produced by Sonnenfeld, Arnold Rifkin of Cheyenne Enterprises and the Liquid Comics team of Sharad Devarajan and Gotham Chopra. The publishing and media project marks the second such collaboration for Morrison and the Liquid team after "18 Days" – the movie treatment turned book that was saved when Liquid bought out their former home of Virgin Comics and shifted to publishing through Dynamite Entertainment. "18 Days" artist Mukesh Singh will draw "Dominion" to be published later in 2011.
