THE DARK KNIGHT RISES

As our pals at Spinoff Online reported, Warner Bros formally announced the start of principle photography. I guess the India trip didn't count as main unit because of the smaller crew involved. Anyway, Hollywood Chicago spotted this picture of actor Alon Aboutboul on set:

According to photographer Glenn Armour, "Security was very tight. They let you take pictures from the other side of the road, but no further. Otherwise, two big bears would start having a go at you. It was fun! You can't see any of the inside. They have that place on proper lockdown." Meanwhile, the lads at Comic Book Movie spotted a few rumors floating around the message boards. The first comes from IMDB, a rather sketchy source for news, but it's Friday, so let's have fun with it. According to the poster:

I spoke briefly to a few P.A.'s as the set was being "locked down." This was the rumor: take it with a grain of salt. Bane is discovered after Ra's burns down a village with the league of shadows --- every citizen completely wiped out -- they watch as the mayhem ensues. However, before leaving, a young boy rises from a BURING PIT, the boy (young bane) is covered in flames. Apparently, he doesn't even flinch which makes Ra's intrigued. They take him in and teach him everything he knows So basically, Bane's only real advantage is that he has a genetic mutation that makes him impervious to pain. No super strength or chemical enhancers (tht i was made aware of)

I love how even IMDB posters disclaimer the stuff they're about to say. The second rumor comes from the Sideshow Collectors board where a user writes:

The crew member was allegedly talking about Wayne being in prison:panic::panic::panic:

Not sure if that's panic-worthy. Also, it's pretty easy to imagine Bruce ending up at the police station. The user also points out he learned this second hand and it might be a plot point the crew was given to mis-direct fans. Ah, observing a Batman film getting made is almost as much fun as watching the finished movie.

Release date: July 20th, 2012

THE AVENGERS

Stellan Skarsgaard talks with Empire about his post-credit scene in "Thor," which is also your first taste of the superhero team-up. The actor explains why:

Directed by Joss Whedon & starring everybody, release date: May 4th, 2012

X-MEN: FIRST CLASS

In this new clip from the film (via Access Hollywood), Mystique and Beast share a private moment:

Release date: June 3rd, 2011

G.I. JOE 2

According to Collider, the sequel will be shot in New Orleans this August. They've also learned the film will not be shot or converted into 3D. That seems reasonable enough. Imagine a close-up of Quick Kick's dirty feet coming right at you. The future of 3D could unleash some horrors untold.

Release date: August 10th, 2012

THE WALKING DEAD

TV Guide offers this Season 2 tidbit from creator Robert Kirkman. "Andrea very much wanted to die in the CDC, so we're going to be dealing with that," he says. "She'll be learning some guns, and she might not quite get to a certain level, but we are definitely going to be going down that road."

Airs: Fall 2011
