With the creative teams for all 52 of DC Comics September DCU relaunch titles revealed (you can check out the entire batch right here), there is precious little for fans to see of the future look of the publisher's superheroes until the books hit stores this fall. However, DC does have a few pieces of art in the pocket to doll out between now and then, and they've provided CBR with an exclusive look at the cover to "Green Lantern Corps" #1 by Doug Mahnke and Christian Alamy:
Like the other titles in the Green Lantern line of comics, the new iteration of the "Corps" series appears to be taking a "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" approach to the heroes currently slinging rings across the DCU as it even retains current "Green Lantern Emerald Knights" scribe Peter J. Tomasi as well as his longtime artistic collaborators Fernando Pasarin and Scott Hanna.
The book will delve into the elite team led by longtime earth Green Lanterns Guy Gardner and John Stewart while the new title "Green Lanterns: The New Guardians" by Tony Bedard and Tyler Kirkham focuses on Kyle Rayner and an assortment of characters from across the colorful emotional spectrum of cosmic powers and "Red Lanterns" by Peter Milligan and Ed Benes casts a raging light on the blood-spewing corps. GL godfather Geoff Johns will continue the adventures of movie-bound Hal Jordan in "Green Lantern" with art from Mahnke and Alamy.
