THE DARK KNIGHT RISES

Collider has a description of the teaser trailer rumored to be attached to prints of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows Part 2." Since the whole thing is pretty much a spoiler, I'll leave the description behind the link. I will mention this, though: Gordon possibly says "Humor me" to someone who might be Bruce Wayne.

Release date: July 20th, 2012

CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER

Superhero Hype reports that several new images have hit the "Captain America" official site, including this wallpaper image of Johann Schmidt:

Meanwhile, director Joe Johnston tells Comic Book Movie that he'd be interested in coming back for the sequel. "I would be interested if the story is as unique as 'Captain America.' That's a tall order, but if Markus and McFeely are writing it there's a very good chance it will be great," he says. "There are other interesting characters in the Marvel universe, for instance, the Winter Soldier, aka Sergeant James Buchanan Barnes."

Starring Chris Evans, release date: July 22nd, 2011

COWBOYS & ALIENS

Director Jon Favreau continues his video chats with the cast and crew of the film. In this set, he and Olivia Wilde discuss, amongst other things, falling off a horse:

Starring Daniel Craig, release date: July 29th, 2011

SGT. ROCK

According to Twitch Film, director Guy Ritchie may be returning to the project. "Ritchie was initially linked to the Sgt Rock adaptation a few years back but eventually gave way to Francis Lawrence, who wanted to take the film away from the comics WWII setting and give it a futuristic spin, instead," they write. "Though the change has not yet been announced Ritchie is already supervising the current draft of the screenplay, one that retains the original setting and pits the title character against German troops in WWII." Well, if nothing else, I hope that futuristic version has, indeed, been abandoned.

Release date: TBA

THE HOBBIT

As our pals at Spinoff Online reported yesterday, we now know what dwarves Fili and Kili look like thanks to this image:

Release date: December 14th, 2012 & December 13th, 2013

DVDS IN THE MAIL

So it seems I must make a choice. I started using Netflix because they offered something no one else does: "Doctor Who" DVD rental. With the new change in policy, should I keep my access to disks for the occasional classic "Who" release? Perhaps I should go streaming only. Decisions, decisions. Meanwhile, if any of you in the great, wide Internet discover something awesome, disheartening, or just plain weird, let us know! Take credit, come up with a clever nickname, or go anonymous. The choice is yours. Fresh rumors and movie news every weekday morning. I am Erik Amaya, bracing for the future threat of the streaming video world.
