SUPERMAN: THE MAN OF STEEL

Star Henry Cavill talks with Popcorn Biz about the film:

Directed by Zack Snyder, release date: June 14th, 2013

GHOST RIDER 2: SPIRITS OF VENGEANCE

MTV News rounded up star Nicolas Cage, co-star Johnny Whitworth, and the directors of the film. They chat about setting Cage's head on fire:

Release date: February 17th, 2012

COWBOYS & ALIENS

Continuing my series of CBR interviews with the cast and crew, star Daniel Craig talks about his fascination with westerns. "They're amazing stories," he says. "There's always a major moral argument within a western. They always [have] life or death decisions, therefore, [the drama] is heightened. Plus: riding a horse, wearing a hat, carrying a gun."

Starring Daniel Craig, release date: July 29th, 2011

THE ADVENTURES OF TINTIN: THE SECRET OF THE UNICORN

Actor Andy Serkis talks with The Los Angeles Times Hero Complex about playing Captain Haddock in the motion-capture animated movie. "The thing that's really appealing about Haddock is that he's very visceral," the actor explains. "Underneath all that salt, his heart is 100% in the right place. If he's angry, he's 100% angry. He's full of rage. He charges 100 miles an hour down the wrong alley. If he cries, he weeps and weeps. It's a very full-blooded character."

Directed by Steven Spielberg, release date: December 23, 2011

THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN

In a CBR exclusive, Emma Stone talks about playing Gwen Stacy. "She's the daughter of the police chief, she grew up on the Upper East Side, she is valedictorian, she's very serious about science, she wants to go to school, she's very responsible," says the actress. "She's the oldest in her family and she really just has this attraction and this slight chemistry when we first meet her with Peter."

Release date: May 28th, 2012

THE WOLVERINE

Star Hugh Jackman talks with MTV News about director James Mangold and keeping Darren Aronofsky's title:

Release date: 2012?

G.I. JOE 2: COBRA STRIKES

According to Deadline, actor Joseph Mazzello has been taped to play Mouse in the film. You may remember Mazzello as one of the little kids in "Jurassic Park." I don't recognize the character at first glance, but according to this G.I. Joe Wiki, he was part of Sgt. Slaughter's Screaming Eagles.

Release date: August 10th, 2012

COULSON: AGENT OF S.H.I.E.L.D.

Yesterday, I asked when Clark Gregg might get his own spinoff. Thanks to MTV News, I now know that spinoff might be a TV show:

Airdate: TBA

THE WALKING DEAD

Deadline reports that executive producer/show runner Frank Darabont is stepping down from his later role on the series. "There is speculation that Darabont might be off the show completely, but I hear talks are still ongoing about him possibly staying on in some capacity," writes Deadline's Nellie Andreeva. "[Darabont], who spent five years trying to get a TV version of the zombie saga off the ground and wrote and directed the AMC pilot, hails from the feature world, and I hear that he never quite adjusted to the daily grind of producing a TV series." While Deadline is unsure if Darabont's #2 man Glen Mazzara will take over, I hope he does. The show may be better for the change. Meanwhile, MTV News spoke with stars Andrew Lincoln, Sarah Wayne Collins, and Jon Bernthal during Comic-Con about the season ahead.

You almost have to wonder if they knew at the time that Darabont was leaving.

Premieres: October 12th, 2011

COMIC-CON RECOVERY DAY THREE

In trying to recharge the batteries after Comic-Con, Ropes of Silicon (via Blastr) provides the internet with the interesting curio that is the deleted opening from "Superman Returns":

It's a beautiful, haunting scene ... but it really doesn't fit the shape of the film. Meanwhile, if any of you in the great, wide Internet discover something awesome, disheartening, or just plain weird, let us know! Take credit, come up with a clever nickname, or go anonymous. The choice is yours. Fresh rumors and movie news every weekday morning. I am Erik Amaya, bracing for the future threat of deleted "Superman" scenes to come.
