Yesterday, Warner Bros. let loose with the news that Laurence Fishburne is set to tackle the role of Perry White in Zack Snyder's Superman reboot. Today the studio has followed up with the release the first image of "Man of Steel" star Henry Cavill in full Superman mode. While it's difficult to tell if the outfit is sporting the traditional red trunks due to the photo's lighting, it appears that the movie costume is mainly influenced by the Man of Tomorrow's classic outfit more than Jim Lee's redesigned look which is set to debut in September's DC Comics relaunch.
"Man of Steel" opens June 14, 2013, and stars Henry Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Michael Shannon as General Zod, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, Kevin Costner as Jonathan Kent and Diane Lane as Martha Kent, as well as an unconfirmed Russell Crowe as Jor-El, Julia Ormond as Lara and Antje Traue as Zod’s henchwoman Faora. Christopher Meloni and Harry Lennix are set to play generals. The movie is written by David S. Goyer from a story by Goyer and Christopher Nolan.
