At the Gamescom event in Cologne, Germany, Capcom revealed a pair of new fighters for its upcoming competitive beat-em-up "Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3," once again announcing a character from each half of the game's dual-universe equation, and they're definitely a pair ready to take on all comers.
The first is Doctor Strange, Marvel Comics' Master of the Mystic Arts. Created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko in the '60s, his presence his hard to miss in the game thanks to his signature Cloak of Levitation and enhanced magical capabilities. The trailer Capcom released shows these powerful attacks in action, which can be chained together to unleash massive amounts of damage on opponents. His super attack is equally devastating, as he binds his opponent and then smashes them with a surrounding flurry of magical spheres.
Not to be outdone is Capcom who throws Nemesis into the mix. The enormous Umbrella assassin who first appeared in "Resident Evil 3: Nemesis" on the PlayStation. He's certainly a massive character, and what he lacks in speed, he more than makes up for in sheer power. Nemesis can pound opponents with his fists, shoot them from a distance with his bazooka or grab them using a supernatural limb that whips out of his sleeve. The popular Capcom villain undergoes a horrific transformation when unleashing his super attack, grabbing his opponent and then biting into them with gaping jaws.
Doctor Strange and Nemesis join the ever-growing line-up for "Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3," joining previously announced additions to the game's original line up including Hawkeye, Strider Hiryu, Ghost Rider and Firebrand. With a total of twelve characters promised for the game, the addition of Strange and Nemesis leaves an even half-dozen left to be officially announced, though eagle-eyed fans uncovered both of this week's announced characters and more in July.
"Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3" is set to arrive on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in November
