THE DARK KNIGHT RISES

Celebuzz (via Comic Book Movie) has some new photos of Anne Hathaway as a more sophisticated Selina Kyle:

I wonder if Nolan and Company are going more for the original "The Cat" concept from Selina's earliest appearances. Will that mean we get his take on the classic "Papa spank" moment?

Release date: July 20th, 2012

SUPERMAN: THE MAN OF STEEL

Spinoff Online reports that actor Michael Shannon is in fact wearing a motion capture suit on set. Speaking with Moviefone, the actor confirms his curious attire. "It's funny because when I met with Zack we were talking about it before it started and he mentioned that there was going to be a lot of CGI, or whatever. I said, 'Just don’t make me wear one of those silly suits.' [...] Then I showed up and he's like, 'Dude, I swear to God, it's going to be so bad ass when we done. Trust me, it's going to be wicked.' And, you know, people understand and you get used to it. The first day, you feel like you're getting rushed by a fraternity… and then it wears off the next day. Because I'm not the only one wearing one – there are other people wearing them, too." The actor also gives MTV News a little insight into his take on the character:

Directed by Zack Snyder, release date: June 14th 2013

THOR

Superhero Hype has a deleted scene featuring more formal introductions of Thor's colorful friends:

This and other scenes will be included on the DVD and Blu-ray release.

Starring Chris Hemsworth, on DVD/Blu-ray: September 13th, 2011

ALPHAS

According to our pals at Spinoff Online, the Syfy series has been renewed for another season. The second order of thirteen episodes will air next year.

Airdate: TBA

LOCKE & KEY

Just when we were all ready to close the book on this pilot, Deadline reports that it may yet go to series ... on MTV. "Last month, a DVD of the pilot was given to MTV programming chief David Janollari. I hear he liked it but is yet to meet with the Locke & Key producers, so there has been no real conversation between the two sides," they report. Deadline also notes the concept is quite different from MTV's usual fare and it may be cost-prohibitive for them to take on the show, but wouldn't it be funny if this thing rose from the grave?

Airdate: TBA

IT BELONGS IN A MUSEUM

JoBlo has unearthed the following "deleted scene" from "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom":

The dominatrix whipping Harrison Ford is Barbara Streissand and the Thugee kissing him is Carrie Fisher. Even more bizarre, "Empire Strikes Back" director Irvin Kershner shows up at the end to break things up. Apparently, this whole scenario was something of a legend amongst outtake aficionados, so the existence of even a bad video file is something to behold. Meanwhile, if any of you in the great, wide Internet discover something awesome, disheartening, or just plain weird, let us know! Take credit, come up with a clever nickname, or go anonymous. The choice is yours. Fresh rumors and movie news every weekday morning. I am Erik Amaya, bracing for the future threat of the Cross of Coronado.
