THE DARK KNIGHT RISES
It seems nothing can stop the determined fans who want a sneak peak at the film. The lads at Comic Book Movie spotted this YouTube video of the Batwing in "flight" under the Sixth Street bridge near downtown Los Angeles:
Apparently, the Tumbler-ized Bat-gadget was seen shooting pyrotechnics during this night of shooting.

Latino Review notes that director David Slade offered an update on the film's status via his Twitter account. "The Daredevil news is simply that we are taking the time to get the script right. No casting, or other decisions will be made until then," writes Slade. Considering how tricky it is to bring this character to the screen, he should take all the time he needs. I mean, really, considering The Man Without Fear's last cinematic outing ... please, David Slade, take all the time you need.

SUPERMAN: THE MAN OF STEEL
Michael Shannon tells Collider how he became involved with the film. "[Director Zack Snyder] basically sat there and he ran through the whole…it was almost like he was pitching it to me, which I found to be a little bizarre. I felt like the tables should be turned and I should be on my hands and knees trying to get the part," he recalls. The meeting took place at Snyder's home in Pasadena. The actor went on to do a screen test with star Henry Cavill which he remembers an an "intense" situation. "After the test, a couple of weeks went by and I was at the grocery store with my family when my phone rang," Shannon continues. "It was a private number and I didn't even know who it was. I answered it and he says, 'Hey, this is Zack. Want to be General Zod?' I was like, 'Yeah. Let me just get these cookies over here. Who is this again?' The whole thing was a real trip."
Directed by Zack Snyder, release date: June 14th 2013
300: THE BATTLE OF ARTEMISIA
As our pals at Spinoff Online reported last Friday, there is room for Leonidas and Gorgo in the "300" prequel. Quoting a story on Movies.com, producer Bernie Goldman says "There's a small part for Lena [Headey]. There's a small part for [Gerard Butler]," but the main cast will be a new group of unknown, but certainly sweaty actors. I added the part about the cast being sweaty.

BATMAN: YEAR ONE
Director Sam Liu talks with Animation Magazine (via Bleeding Cool) about adapting the renowned comic book into an animated film. "Once you have something in motion, once it starts dropping, you’re on a clock, this kind of intuitive kind of clock," he says of expanding the fight scenes, which play long on the page, but require more work and key poses in animation.
Release date: October 18th, 2011
Superhero Hype chatted with actor Stellan Skarsgaard about the upcoming home video release of the film. The actor recalls his days on the Earth-bound portion of the film. "Suddenly one day, the Warriors Three show up and you really wondered, 'How is this going to work?' That was cool. (laughs) I think it was challenging for Kenneth to weave those two different universes together, but I think he really pulled it off beautifully," he says. Skarsgaard also mentions his work on "The Avengers," which sees him "flying in and out" every so often to shoot scenes.
Starring Chris Hemsworth, on DVD/Blu-ray: September 13, 2011
"MAKE IT SO"
When the original "Star Trek" series got a swanky digital remastering and the choice to watch the episodes with updated effects, fans of "The Next Generation" have wondered when their show will get some love. For years, they were told the show was edited on low-fidelity broadcast tapes, making a remastering impossible. It seems that may not be true as The Digital Bits reports a four episode trial Blu-ray is coming soon. "[It] will include 'Encounter at Farpoint,' Parts 1 and 2. We're told that the other two should be 'The Inner Light' and 'Sins of the Father,'" they write. While I don't require new effects work, it would be nice to see the show get the same love and care the original series got. Meanwhile, if any of you in the great, wide Internet discover something awesome, disheartening, or just plain weird, let us know! Take credit, come up with a clever nickname, or go anonymous. The choice is yours. Fresh rumors and movie news every weekday morning. I am Erik Amaya, bracing for the future threat of "Voyager" on Blu.
