THE DARK KNIGHT RISES

MTV News gets an interesting reaction from actress Juno Temple when they ask her if she's playing Catwoman sidekick Holly Robinson:

That's not a denial!

Release date: July 20th, 2012

ROGUE TROOPER

In an interview with The Daily Record, Grant Morrison mentions his work on bringing the classic 2000AD strip to the silver screen. Granted it's just a mention without a direct quote from the writer. According to the story, the project will be produced by Sam Worthington's company ... if it ever happens at all.

Release date: TBA

THE AVENGERS

Spinoff Online has a new photo of Thor and Cap looking up:

Wave to the Avengers! Looks like they need some positive re-enforcement.

Directed by Joss Whedon & starring everybody, release date: May 4th, 2012

THE HOBBIT

Evangeline Lily talks with Access Hollywood about working in Middle-Earth and speaks a little bit of Elvish:

Yeah, she definitely needs an emotion coach ... did I ever mention how the Jack/Kate/Sawyer triangle stopped me from watching "Lost" at the beginning of season 3? I blame all three actors/characters, but she's in the spotlight right now.

Release date: December 14th, 2012 & December 13th, 2013

JUSTICE LEAGUE: DOOM

The Blog of Oa (via Comic Book Movie) has your first look at Star Sapphire as she'll appear in the DC Animated Original Movie:

Y'know, ever since the whole thing with Starfire got started, the more I find these sort of low-cut "costumes" a little ridiculous. Cat-suits are fun and attractive, artists. Use them.

Release date: TBA

METAL HURLANT CHRONICLES

Ain't It Cool News reports actors Rutger Hauer, James Marsters, and Michael Jai White are all working on the series based on classic "Metal Hurlant" comic strips and stories. The site even has a few photos from the production:

Well, it kinds of looks like "Heavy Metal" ... the girls are wearing too much clothing, though.

Airdate: TBA

THE WALKING DEAD

The Web series detailing the life and after-life of "Bicycle Girl" has begun its run at amctv.com. Here's the first episode:

Premieres: October 12th, 2011

HOLY VIDEO GAME SEQUELS, BATMAN!

It's only two short weeks until the sequel to "Arkham Asylum" arrives. That first game was loads of fun and, more importantly, a genuinely good game featuring the Dark Knight. I should give it another spin in preparation. Meanwhile, if any of you in the great, wide Internet discover something awesome, disheartening, or just plain weird, let us know! Take credit, come up with a clever nickname, or go anonymous. The choice is yours. Fresh rumors and movie news every weekday morning. I am Erik Amaya, bracing for the future threat of losing nights to video games.
