We're officially two weeks away from the long-awaited release of Rocksteady Games' "Batman: Arkham City," the sequel to the 2009 hit "Batman: Arkham Asylum." And even this close to release, we're still finding out new information about the game.
In the latest episode of Sony's "Qore" magazine, which is available for digital download through the PlayStation Network, the game's director, Sefton Hill, openly discussed what players can expect from Batman's latest adventure. During this presentation, we spotted a couple of new faces that will be joining the Caped Crusader's rogues gallery already in residence, a veritable Who's Who of villainy including the Joker, Deadshot and more.
The first is Poison Ivy. She was first hinted at a few months ago, complete with fan design art, but this footage marks the first time she's actually appearing in in-game footage, ready to torment the Dark Knight with her devastating plant life.
The other villain will definitely pique the interest of more dedicated Batman fans as it's none other than Jervis Tetch, aka the Mad Hatter. He appears to be just as insane as he's ever been, complete with a fancy new outfit, a shiny pocket watch and a group of cronies donning bunny masks. There's obviously no word yet as to exactly what he's up to in Arkham City, but you can bet it's definitely not good.
"Batman: Arkham City" hits stores October 18 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, releasing for PC shortly thereafter
