New York Comic Con is in full swing, with thousands of fans flocking to booths across the breadth of the Jacob Javits Center. Spider-Man fans in particular have their own news to take in -- not only are they getting a new movie next summer, but now it looks like a game is coming as well.

As you can see to the right, the first poster for "The Amazing Spider-Man," isn't for the movie – it's for the film's tie-in video game. Activision has confirmed that it is hard at work on the latest Spidey tale, which is set to arrive sometime this summer, probably at the same time as Sony Pictures' upcoming film. The poster offers fans a new look at the modified costume, including a particularly clear view of Peter's mechanical web-shooters.

The poster indicates that the game is being handled by Beenox, the same development team that worked on the previous Spider-Man games "Shattered Dimensions" and the recently released "Edge of Time." Their prowess will no doubt be appreciated by fans, as they have a great idea of how Spider-Man's versatility and combat work in a video game.

Though game platforms for "Amazing Spider-Man" aren't revealed on the poster, it's expected to arrive on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii.

Stay tuned to CBR News for more information on the game as soon as it's available!
