SUPERMAN: THE MAN OF STEEL

Michael Shannon talks costumes with Entertainment Weekly. "There's two different modes. There's something that I have to wear a motion-capture suit for, because if I actually wore it, I wouldn't be able to move. It's a very big…thing. I actually don’t know what it's going to look like, I just know that it's very cumbersome. There's another thing that I wear that's an actual costume. It's pretty simple. There's no paisley or anything." Hmm. Time for a speculation corner moment here: I wonder if this "cumbersome" suit that will be added in post-production is a version of the power-suit Lex Luthor likes to wear from time to time.

That'd be a handy way to set the thing up for a sequel appearance.

Meanwhile, Henry Cavill talks about his Superman costume with CBS-19 Cleveland's

Chris Van Vliet:

Directed by Zack Snyder, release date: June 14th 2013

THE AVENGERS

Cobie Smulders talks Maria Hill's love-life (or lack thereof) in this Access Hollywood raw feed:

Directed by Joss Whedon & starring everybody, release date: May 4th, 2012

THE DARK KNIGHT RISES

Okay, here's a photo making the rounds (via Latino Review) that is sure to cause much speculation:

Interesting that Matthew Modine's hair and wardrobe invites comparisons to Harvey Dent, isn't it? His character is known as "Nixon" and there's talk of him being a politician or a government agent. I guess he also has an eye for the ladies. Elsewhere on the Internet, Batman on Film (via Spinoff Online) hears word that a new trailer will unspool in front of Warner Bros' "Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows" on December 16th.

Release date: July 20th, 2012

G.I. JOE 2: RETALIATION

No body massage jokes today as Dwayne Johnson offers Entertainment Tonight a look at the set:

Release date: June 29th, 2012

THE WALKING DEAD

Creator Robert Kirkman discusses the differences between the comic and show with MTV News:

Airs: Sundays

BROODING OVER ARKHAM

I appear to be nearing the end of "Arkham City's" storyline with my Batman perched over the city/prison ... but I'm only 42% done with all of the objectives. That makes sense as the Riddler still has hostages and Deadshot is still loose out there. The mission never ends, it seems. Meanwhile, if any of you in the great, wide Internet discover something awesome, disheartening, or just plain weird, let us know! Take credit, come up with a clever nickname, or go anonymous. The choice is yours. Fresh rumors and movie news every weekday morning. I am Erik Amaya, bracing for the future threat of the next Batman game.
