BATMAN BEGINS

According to the Huddersfield Daily Examiner, stuntman Buster Reeves is standing in the way of harm for Christian Bale on the set of Christopher Nolan's Bat-flick. "He has just returned from location in Iceland and is now filming at Shepperton Studios, where brother Gary will visit him at the end of the month, before going to Chicago on location. His mum Frances says, "'When he was four, he was running through the kitchen dressed as Batman saying, Is my cape floating? Now he's doing it for real.'"

SIN CITY

Variety reports that Robert Rodriguez has closed his cast on "Sin City" by adding Benicio Del Toro and Clive Owen to the Dimension Films ensemble project. The noir drama is divided into three chapters named for titles in the Miller series: "Sin City," "That Yellow Bastard" and "The Big Fat Kill." Del Toro and Owen will be seen in the last segment, along with Brittany Murphy. Rodriguez hopes to draft Quentin Tarantino's assistance in directing the final chapter. The film cast also includes Bruce Willis, Josh Hartnett, Mickey Rourke, Nick Stahl, Jessica Alba, Elijah Wood, Carla Gugino, Jaime King and Marley Shelton. Likewise, you can see the Entertainment Tonight clip in glorious QuickTime at The Movie Box, and Comics Continuum has screen shots.

SUPERMAN

Cinescape reports that "Warner Bros. has selected ESC Entertainment to produce the visual effects for its upcoming SUPERMAN film. ESC is the San Francisco-based special effects firm that was created after the dissolution of Manex Visual Effects (the firm that created most of the effects for the first MATRIX film)."
