THE DARK KNIGHT RISES

Spinoff Online spotted this rather striking photo of the Batwing perched on a New York City building:

They also recall an early rumor in which the Batwing was referred to as "The Wraith." Considering that the Batmobile is always called "The Tumbler," it tracks that Batman's flying rig has another name.

Release date: July 20th, 2012

SUPERMAN: THE MAN OF STEEL

"Supernatural's" Death, actor Julian Richings, discusses his time on the "Man of Steel" set in this clip from Canada's Space Channel (via Comic Book Movie):

Directed by Zack Snyder, release date: June 14th 2013

THE HOBBIT

Ain't It Cool News has one more report from their visit to the set, which includes pictures like this:

Release date: December 14th, 2012 & December 13th, 2013

ROBOCOP (BEGINS)

Michael Fassbender discusses the possibility of taking on the title role with Collider. "I'm always open. I'll take a look at the script and sit down with the director and have a conversation. It's not definitely like, 'Oh, I’ve got to play RoboCop before I retire.' I don't have that about anything. I don't go, 'I have to play the Dane one day,'" he says. As for the costume, he adds, "It could be kind of good to have a helmet that I could hide behind, for most of the film, too. That sounds kind of appealing."

JUSTICE LEAGUE: DOOM

Superhero Shows (via Comic Book Movie) has a first look at the Canadian cover art for the upcoming release:

THE WALKING DEAD

The official AMC blog chats with Norman Reedus about his breakout character Daryl Dixon. "I've tried to make him more of a multi-layered character -- someone who can tear up and then try to knife you. He's kind of like this wet little coyote that doesn't know where he's at and people are trying to reach over and pet him and he snaps back," says the actor. He also reports his skill with the crossbow continues to grow, explaining, "My latest accomplishment is that I can jump on a horse and hook the reins onto the horn of the saddle and flip it over my back and load and fire it while riding. You can't not look cool with a crossbow."

CAGE WEEKEND

Over the weekend, we had another one of our bad movie days. We watched four Nicolas Cage films and the best of the bunch was a late 90s release called "Snake Eyes." It was bad, don't get me wrong ... but it was certainly more entertaining than films like "Deadfall," "Zandalee" or "Season of the Witch." When cutting a path through Cage's film history, tread lightly. Meanwhile, if any of you in the great, wide Internet discover something awesome, disheartening, or just plain weird, let us know! Take credit, come up with a clever nickname, or go anonymous. The choice is yours. Fresh rumors and movie news every weekday morning. I am Erik Amaya, bracing for the future threat of another Cage film festival.
