THE DARK KNIGHT RISES
Director Christopher Nolan tells The Los Angeles Times Hero Complex that leaving the Batman behind was an emotional experience. "You definitely get a little lump in your throat thinking that, 'OK, this is going to be the last time we're going to be doing this.' It's been quite a journey. Hopefully, reflecting that journey — by all of us who made the films — in the three films together will make it so they have a real span to them, some real heft," he says. Meanwhile, I hear bootlegs of the trailer are popping up online. Can an official release be far behind?
Release date: July 20th, 2012
THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY
The OneRing.net has a description of the trailer. Since the whole thing is a massive spoiler, I'll repost only this much as it seems inspired from a scene in the novel: "The dwarves, led by Thorin, singing a long slow song. I didn't catch all the words ... Very ominous tone." If you want to here a version of this song now, find a copy of the animated "Hobbit" movie. It's there toward the beginning.
