MAN OF STEEL

New set images of Kevin Costner as Jonathan Kent have surfaced. They reveal no new details, other than Pa Kent's trademark hat and jacket. For even more set images, head over to Comic Book Movie.

In casting news, Variety reports "The West Wing's" Richard Schiff joins "Man of Steel" as Dr. Hamilton, who is portrayed in the comics as Superman's sometimes-villain/sometimes-scientific advisor. No details yet on what role this incarnation of Dr. Hamilton will play.

THOR 2

During a web chat with Empire Online, Tom Hiddleston revealed "Thor 2" begins shooting this summer in London and teased a bit about the upcoming film. "Without revealing too much, there's a specific skill set you need to be [in] Loki's army - let me know if you have the qualifications," Hiddleston said during the web chat. "And all I know about 'Thor 2' is that we're supposed to film it in London in the summer and that it's being directed by Alan Taylor."

X-MEN: FIRST CLASS 2

MTV interviewed "First Class" screenwriter Jane Goldman spoke about her involvement and the possibility of Matthew Vaughn coming back to direct.

"In terms of what's going on with that, again from my point of view, it's down to what Matthew [Vaughn] decides to do," Goldman told MTV. "If he decides he wants to direct the next one and if he wants me on board, I'm 100 percent there."

NEMESIS

Director Joe Carnahan spoke briefly with Collider on the big screen adaptation of Mark Millar's "Nemesis," saying he has "never lost interest in 'Nemesis'" and has been speaking about casting with Mark Millar.

"Mark Millar and I were talking about Nemesis and I had mentioned that I think a particularly fantastic Blake Morrow would be Liam Neeson," the director told Collider.

STAR TREK 2

J.J. Abrams' sequel to the rebooted Trekverse starts shooting today, and after a deluge of casting reveals including Benedict Cumberbatch, Noel Clarke and Nazneen Contractor, Screen Rant confirms Joseph Gatt as the newest addition to the cast. Gatt previously played a Frost Giant in "Thor" and had a recent guest-starring role on NBC's "Chuck."

Marvel has released a new clip of the "Blade" anime series on G4.

Premieres Friday, January 13 on G4.

GAME OF THRONES

Fansite WinterIsComing.net has posted minor casting news that Paul Kealyn will be playing the role of Weasel, a gaoler at Harrenhal.

Westeros.org put together a probable rundown for the directors of each episode in season two, based on information from CVs. The lineup includes Alan Taylor, Alik Sakharov, David Petrarca, David Nutter and Neil Marshall.

PRACTICING LAW WITH WONDER WOMAN

Unfortunately, it's not the real Wonder Woman -- but it is Lois Lane. Spinoff Online has posted a clip of Erica Durance's appearance on David E. Kelley's "Harry's Law" donning the costume worn by Adrianne Palicki in the rejected "Wonder Woman" pilot.
