THE AVENGERS

While talking to EW.com about his voice-over work for Marvel's iPad eBooks, Stan Lee teased his "Avengers" cameo appearance.

"Being rather a selfish, self-centered sort of guy, the most important things are my cameos," Lee told EW. "Wait 'til you see my cameo in 'The Avengers!' I can't tell you a thing, but it'll be great."

In an interview with DigitalSpy, Tom Hiddleston elaborated on how Loki has changed and evolved since "Thor."

"[He's changed] entirely. Well, not entirely," Hiddleston told DigitalSpy. "We haven't thrown out the baby with the bathwater. We've retained the kernel of his origins. He's a damaged, troubled soul who doesn't feel like he has a place in the universe -- certainly, a terrible and complex animosity toward his brother, Thor, and towards his surrogate family, Odin and all of Asgard. Loki is someone in 'The Avengers' is someone who's evolved from that. He's fully self-possessed in his mischief-making and self-aware and I think much more menacing."

Directed by Joss Whedon and starring everybody. Opens May 4.

MAN OF STEEL

Richard Schiff, recently revealed to be cast as Dr. Hamilton, spoke with I Am Rogue about how he obtained the role, but was unable to give any concrete details about the character, other than the fact that his full name is Dr. Emil Hamilton.

"It was offered to me quite a while ago. There was a lot of time between when they offered it and when I was actually going to end up shooting, because I'm slated for the last six weeks (of production) and I think they started shooting way back in August," Schiff told I Am Rogue. "I think it was offered over the summer. It was just offered to me, I had never met Zack [Snyder] before and knew nothing about it actually. They offered it and they were in talks, negotiating or whatever, and they wouldn't send me the script. They were so secretive that I couldn't read the script. So finally when it came close to whether this deal was going to happen or not, I went, well, I think I‘ve got to read the script. So I had to go to their offices on Sunset Boulevard. Virtually under guard I sat down in an office and read a script that had my name ear marked all over it, in case I ripped a page out and released it I guess, or sold it to you for half a million bucks. I thought it was pretty funny. I'm a very, very slow reader. I was like, are you sure you want me to take up your office space? Because this is going to take me hours, I'm really slow. They go, 'No, no, no it's fine, it's fine.' So I sat in the conference room and they brought me coffee and donuts, and I read the script. I liked it a lot."

Opens June 14, 2013

DARK KNIGHT RISES

Batman on Film predicts the next "Dark Knight" trailer will hit in mid-to-late May, possibly in front of "Dark Shadows."

At the CBS party for the Television Critics Association, Jonathan Nolan spoke out about Tom Hardy as Bane. When asked about the outcry of Bane's difficult-to-understand dialogue, Crave Online reported Nolan's response.

"I gotta tell you, I think what Tom Hardy’s doing with the role is spectacular," Nolan said. "I have the benefit of seeing a little bit more than the audience has seen at this point. It’s pretty spectacular."

Opens July 20.

THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY

WhileMTV was speaking with Richard Armitage, who plays Bilbo's dwarf companion Thorin, about his role, the actor revealed a minor spoiler for those who have not read J.R.R. Tolkien's original texts.

"I think this is one of those characters that always stay with you because you spend so much time with him and it's such a transformation," the actor told MTV. "I'm in the character every day, and I've become so familiar with him. I sort of know how he thinks. I feel really close to the character, and he will continue beyond this job, even though, he dies at the end of the movie. I think he is a fascinating character. I will probably wake up in six years' time and be inspired to think about him again. It's really exciting."
