Marvel Comics kicks off a week of reveals with the official debut of Jim Cheung's cover for "Avengers Vs. X-Men" #1. The issue, written by Brian Michael Bendis and featuring art by John Romita Jr., is slated to hit in April, following the events setting off the conflict in March's #0 from Bendis and Frank Cho.

"We've got a very interesting arc for the Avengers," Bendis said in late-2011 during a Marvel-hosted conference call promoting the event. "What's been going on lately is that they've been tested...they're wondering what it means to be an Avenger...when the world is throwing one terrible disaster at them after another...it takes a toll on a society and the Avengers are left to take the blame for it, as it were. They're going to want answers from Captain America."

Keep it locked to CBR all week for continuing AvX coverage, including an exclusive cover reveal!
