DARK KNIGHT RISES

The HD Room has posted a new image of actor Tom Hardy without his Bane mask, sporting a number of scars down his neck and on his head. While there is no current image of Hardy's face in Bane makeup, if his back is any indication, it's going to be a sight to see.

THE WALKING DEAD

It's getting close to the midseason premiere of "The Walking Dead" and new information has been creeping up faster than a lurking undead. MTV spoke with creator Robert Kirkman and executive producer Glen Mazzara, who teased a bit about the upcoming new episodes and the surprises in store.

"If there's a zombie attack in every other scene the show would play as a video game and people would not really respond to it. I think in our midseason finale, we were building to that climax to where Sophia comes out of the barn, remember that was a twist on already a big scene," Mazzara told MTV. "That was by design and the entire season has been designed to have huge payoffs, smaller character moments and I think that there's a lot of things in the show that satisfies many people in the audience. At the end of the run all fans will be happy with this show. It's just packed, particularly in the second half of the season."

ARROW

The TV Addict has posted a casting breakdown for the CW's Green Arrow series. The characters are what you'd expect -- with the notable exception of Dinah Laurel Lance being called "Laurel" instead of the usual "Dinah." Here's the breakdown for Oliver Queen and be sure to click through for the rest of the descriptions.

"A 27 year old reformed bad boy, who after having spent five years shipwrecked on a tiny, brutally dangerous island in the South China Sea returns to town a different man. Or to be more specific, a tortured, thoughtful master of the bow with a ferocious determination to make a difference."

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN

Access Hollywood spoke with Stan Lee at Sundance, who gave his opinion on Andrew Garfield's upcoming performance as Peter Parker and Spider-Man.

"I am Tobey Maguire's biggest fan. He's talented, he's the nicest guy in the world, nobody could have done a better job on ‘Spider-Man' than he did," Lee told Access Hollywood. "But, Andrew Garfield brings his own charisma to this role and he's as good as Tobey was. I think people are going to love him."

CAPTAIN AMERICA 2

Dum Dum Dugan himself, Neal McDonough, spoke to IMDB about the FX drama "Justified" and revealed a few details on "Captain America 2" and "Nick Fury."

"Yeah, they're planning (to go into production for) Captain America 2 for the end of this year, because Marvel does one film at a time," McDonough told IMDB. "So they're going to do Thor 2 and as soon as Thor has wrapped, they'll do Cap 2. Hopefully right after that, we'll jump into Nick Fury because that's the one I'm looking forward to more than anything."

DOCTOR STRANGE

iO9 has posted an interview with Sean Carroll, a theoretical physicist who served as a scientific advisor on "Thor." According to Carroll, his next project for Marvel is a "Doctor Strange" film. Apparently, his job will be to provide limits to the Sorcerer Supreme's powers.

"You need constraints to provide tension," he said. "A world where anything can happen makes for a very boring movie. It's when science imposes boundaries on what a superhero can do that the real drama begins."

KICK ASS 2

At the "Woman in Black" premiere, screenwriter Jane Goldman confirmed to UK film site HeyUGuys neither she nor Matthew Vaughn would be involved in the film adaptation of Mark Millar's "Kick-Ass 2."

"Matthew is not directing it so it looks like someone else will write and direct which will be exciting," Goldman told HeyUGuys. "And I love Mark's second volume of the comic, and it will be great."

IRON MAN 3

According to ComicBook.com, "Iron Man 3" is set to begin filming one week before "The Avengers" hits this May. According to sources close to North Carolina operations, Marvel will "have staff in Wilmington as early as mid-March, with shooting scheduled to begin the last week of April or the first week of May."

JOHN CARTER

THE GOON

According to Paul Giamatti, it looks like "The Goon" animated adaptation may be gone for good. In an interview with IFC, Giamatti bluntly stated his knowledge of the film's current status.

"I have no idea what the hell happened," Giamatti told IFC. "I asked and no one knows. I guess they just ran out of money."

THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY

While speaking with EW, actress Evangeline Lilly revealed a few tidbits about her character, Tauriel.

"Yes, she is a warrior. She’s actually the head of the Elven guard," Lilly told EW. "She’s the big shot in the army. So she knows how to wield any weapon, but the primary weapons that she uses are a bow and arrow and two daggers. And she’s lethal and deadly. You definitely wouldn’t want to be caught in a dark alley next to Tauriel."
