AMAZING SPIDER-MAN

Comicus spoke to Andrew Garfield's stunt double, Ilram Choi, who noted the stylistic differences between the Marc Webb reboot and the previous installments in the "Spider-Man" franchise.

"It seems they are trying to go for more realistic stunt action rather then animation," Choi told Comicus. "There still is animation but hopefully all our hard stunt work will come through. The style is still Spider-Man."

MAN OF STEEL

Nuke the Fridge has posted a possible scene description of Superman's encounter with General Zod from Zack Snyder's "Man of Steel" supposedly filmed in Edwards Air Force Base in California.

"The scene is set up in the base's proving grounds, vast dried flatlands as we spy a barricade of some sort," Nuke the Fridge's report says. "Concrete military dividers form a crude wall as soldiers and Tanks gather with all weapons prone in one direction: the other side of the wall. Who’s on the other side, none other then Superman and Faora: General Zod's wife. She is indeed sporting a black alien uniform, her hair sleek back, draping down to a long black cape as it blows in the desert wind. She and Superman then walk over to a vast technical array of lighting rigs, camera dollies and a massive green screen: his own red cape dancing on the winds as dust is kicked up in their path. From this point the footage takes a page from 'Chronicle' as it spins and falls, tucked away by the mystery cameraman as everything goes black."

A blurry set picture accompanied the report, which has not been confirmed.

X-MEN: FIRST CLASS 2

Screenwriter Simon Kinberg spoke with MTV about his work on the "X-Men: First Class" sequel script, emphasizing the sequel would continue to explore the relationship between Charles Xavier and Magneto.

"I’m a huge X-Men fan," Kinberg told MTV. "I grew up loving the comic books and it was really exciting to be able to do the origin story of Xavier and Magneto, and getting those two actors, [James] McAvoy and [Michael] Fassbender, were really amazing. So being able to explore those characters with actors of that quality will be exciting a second time around, and doing some things unexpected with those characters, which is the plan."

ZORRO REBORN

According to Variety, 20th Century Fox is producing "Zorro Reborn," a futuristic version of Zorro starring "The Motorcycle Diaries" actor Gael Garcia Bernal in the lead role. The report further states the film is "a futuristic reboot of the classic Zorro mythology that will not be set in California or Mexico, despite the story's Western themes." The script was written by Glenn Gers, Lee Shipman and Brian McGreevy.

G.I. JOE: RETALIATION

CinemaBlend spoke with "G.I. Joe: Retaliation" producer Lorenzo Di Bonaventura and director Jon Chu at Toy Fair 2012, where the duo expounded on the differences between "Retaliation" and "Rise of Cobra."

"We have a new cast and that adds a whole other experience level to it," Di Bonaventura told CinemaBlend. "Also, we wanted to show you that the tone's changed, the action's spectacular. … I think we really felt strongly that in this movie when somebody punched somebody, you really felt it. I think that sort of indicates the casting too -- that's why The Rock and that's why Bruce [Willis] are in it because those guys are tough guys and they're known to be tough guys. This is a movie that has a lot of gravity and then has a lot of spectacular things that defy gravity."

300 2

Spinoff Online reports Jamie Blackley has been cast in Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures' "300" follow-up as Calisto, a teen whose desire to become the hero his father was spurs him to become the leader of a small band of soldiers. Blackley joins fellow cast members Sullivan Stapleton and Eva Green for the upcoming film.

TRANSFORMERS 4

While speaking with E! Online at the launch party for the PlayStation Vita, "Transformers" alum Josh Duhamel heavily implied none of the original cast will be back for Michael Bay's fourth installment of the robots in disguise.

"I don't think anybody's doing it," Duhamel told E!. "I know Shia [LaBoeuf]'s not doing it. I don't think Tyrese or Rosie [Huntington-Whiteley] or anybody else is doing it. … "Whenever these movies make that much money they're going to make as many as they can. I haven't heard anything about it. They haven't called me."

JOHN CARTER

Bad news for Disney's "John Carter" -- according to Deadline, the early tracking for the film is not looking good for the $250 million film.

"It just came out. Women of all ages have flat out rejected the film," a rival studio exec told Deadline. "The tracking for John Carter is shocking for a film that cost over $250 million. This could be the biggest writeoff of all time."

Despite the soft tracking on "John Carter," folks can still enjoy 13 minutes of behind-the-scenes footage courtesy of Collider.

FANTASTIC FOUR

While speaking with The Playlist, "Chronicle" director Josh Trank denied the rumors of his involvement with Fox's "Fantastic Four" reboot.

"I have not met about 'Fantastic Four' reboots," Trank told The Playlist. "I was on the press tour and had to call everybody up and ask, what is this about? 'Fantastic Four' is at Fox, and I guess someone theorized about it, someone heard it, and Variety was like, that’s happening! I can’t really speak on that, because I don’t know what to say."
