AMAZING SPIDER-MAN

Comic Book Movie has posted an interview from this month's issue of Empire Magazine with Rhys Ifans and another from Total Film Magazine with Andrew Garfield.

Garfield spoke to the overall tone of the film, mentioning while it was a darker take on the franchise, it isn't to the dark levels of "Batman."

"We haven't gone for gritty, we've gone for grounded," Garfield told Empire. "If we try and make Batman, we'll fail. The new Batman is it's own thing - and also in terms of tone, Spider-Man is nothing like that character. Spider-Man is witty, Spider-Man is a kid, Spider-Man wants to have fun, he's a teenager and he needs to go through first love and piss around."

While Garfield has already teased a bit of what to expect from Peter Parker, Rhys Ifans has been relatively tight-lipped as to Dr. Curt Connors' role in the film.

"Curt is a force for good throughout his life," Ifans told Empire. "He's a geneticist who wants to help people, like him, who are limbless. In his eagerness to advance that science, he makes a mistake and that's an occurrence we've seen throughout time, sometimes to our benefit, sometimes to our detriment."

Meanwhile, "Slumdog Millionaire" star Irrfan Khan, who plays a character named "Dr. Ratha" in "Amazing Spider-Man" spoke to Zeenews India about Marc Webb's directing style and his character's possible costume design.

""It was wonderful working with Marc Webb in the film. He is a fabulous director," Khan told Zeenews India. "Adapting a costume was not difficult but the way he approached me, the respect he showered on me is very rarely seen."

ARROW

"Arrow" star Stephen Amell took to Facebook to do a video Q&A where he answers a number of questions about his role in the upcoming CW drama. Some of the highlights include the actor's description of training for the role of Oliver Queen and the fact there may be one more major role to be cast.

ABRAHAM LINCOLN VAMPIRE HUNTER

In an interview with Screen Rant, "Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter" author and screenwriter Seth Grahame-Smith spoke to the possibility of a sequel to the film.

"If you read the book there’s an epilogue that leaves things open to that," Grahame-Smith told Screen Rant. "In the film, without giving anything away, we don’t definitively end the origin story. We leave, not only a mentor story, but also possibly a Lincoln story open."

KICK-ASS 2

According to a recent interview with The Daily Record, "Kick-Ass" writer Mark Millar indicated filming for the film's sequel would begin Summer 2012 and teased his next big movie project.

"We shoot Kick-Ass 2 and American Jesus this summer. Then Matthew and I have Secret Service, which is a neddy James Bond," Millar told The Daily Record. "We came up with this idea of a wee ned who becomes a gentleman spy, ditching his trainers for his Savile Row suits and being taught how to speak properly. The reason he gets chosen is that a guy like that is disposable. I am a massive Bond fan and Secret Service is like My Fair Lady meets James Bond."

Begins filming Summer 2012
