DC Entertainment and Cartoon Network have released the first trailer for "Beware the Batman," a new CG animation series set to premiere later this year on the DC Nation programming block of cartoons. Although the trailer is less than 30 seconds long, it gives viewers an idea of the animation style and overall attitude the show will present when it hits the airwaves later this year.

Opening in a tunnel as the Batmobile races through, the camera pans around Batman's signature, sleek vehicle, finally ending inside the driver's seat with a full-on look at Batman's cowl. During the entire sequence, the deep voice of the Dark Knight utters these words:

"To those who would hurt the innocent, I give you this one warning: Beware my wrath."

The sentence is punctuated with a final "Beware" in capital letters at the end of the trailer. According to information sent with the teaser, "Beware the Batman" sees Bruce Wayne assisted by Katana and Alfred as they take on a rogues gallery of "new villains not previously seen in animated form" such as Anarky, Professor Pyg, Mister Toad and Magpie. While this is only a brief glimpse of "Beware the Batman," more details will undoubtably come to light as anticipation ramps up for the series premiere later this year.
