THE AVENGERS

PBS has posted a video of Clark Gregg on Tavis Smiley, where he talks about his role as Agent Phil Coulson in "The Avengers" with a new scene between Coulson and Steve Rogers.

"They seem to have changed over the years," Gregg said of superhero films. "You see the early Superman, Batman -- it's all kind of black and white and one of the things I think Marvel did, especially with some of these characters when I was reading them in the '70s is re-examine the concept of heroism and the people who are carrying this responsibility and exercising this authority, whether assumed or not, have a lot of issues themselves. I think they built an interesting template in having really top-notch actors."

MTV Splash Page posted an interview with director Joss Whedon, who was decently cagey about revealing whether or not he'll be returning for a sequel.

"Marvel gave me so much trust and the movie that I said, 'Well, if I was going to do this I'd like to do this.' And that's the movie I made," Whedon told MTV. "They only ever moved it forwards and collaborated and supported me. And I gotta tell you, that's unusual from a studio."

Comic Book Movie has posted two studio interviews, one with Mark Ruffalo and Scarlet Johansson and another with Jeremy Renner.

Finally, Spinoff Online has posted two new international TV spots featuring the Hulk and Captain America.

Directed by Joss Whedon and starring everybody. Opens May 4.

BRAVE

It's time for another amazing "Brave" trailer from Pixar. I'll just let it speak for itself. Suffice it to say, there's magic and danger involved.

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN

According to Vulture, "Bridesmaids" director Paul Feig did some work on the script for Marc Webb's "Amazing Spider-Man" reboot.

"He's a great guy, he invited me on set, and I did a little bit of writing for that movie, for one of the high school scenes, so I'm excited," Feig told Vulture.

In an interview with Total Film (via Comic Book Movie), actor Rhys Ifans spoke about his initial audition for the character of Dr. Curt Connors.

"It was a moment where Dr Curt Connors is having a nervous breakdown, to say the least," Ifans told Total Film. "I just went for it and ended up a quivering wreck on the office floor. They were obviously pleased but I didn't think for one second I'd get the part."

Opens July 3

IRON MAN 3

Twitch reports that Chinese actor Andy Lau is currently in final negotiations for a role in "Iron Man 3." Apparently, Lau would play an ally of Tony Stark's that provides the Armored Avenger with some backup tech that will help him battle the villain of the film played by Ben Kingsley and Aldrich Killian's Extremis biotech.

In other casting news, Deadline has revealed "The Help" actress Jessica Chastain is back in talks for a role as "a sexy scientist every bit as smart as Tony Stark" in the "Iron Man" sequel.

G.I. JOE: RETALIATION

While speaking with Collider, "G.I. Joe: Retaliation" director Jon Chu revealed there is a scene in the upcoming film that pays homage to the classic silent issue of the comic book series, "G.I. Joe" #21. Apparently, there is a nine to ten minute sequence of ninja action completely without dialogue. Chu speaks about the silent sequence and more in the video interview below.

Furthermore, Machinima has posted a new trailer for the upcoming film full of explosions.

STRETCH ARMSTRONG

Yes, there is actually an update on the live-action version of "Stretch Armstrong." Variety reports Hasbro and Relativity Media have hired "The Manchurian Candidate" writer Dean Georgaris to pen the script for the big-screen adaptation. Although Variety provided no further details on the film, "Twilight" actor Taylor Lautner was previously attached to star in the film when Universal held the property, but it is unconfirmed as to whether he is still involved.
