THE AVENGERS

Only four days remain until Earth's Mightiest Movie is in theaters here in the U.S. but there's still more news than you can shake Mjolnir at -- including this very brief Chinese TV spot for the film showcasing some new footage from the big Avengers vs. Loki's Army fight.

Next up, the newest featurette from the Marvel New Zealand YouTube channel, "Threat," which sees producer Kevin Feige speaking about the enemy the Avengers must face and the cast expounding on Loki's role in the film.

Feige also sounded off to Movieline with the implication that plans for Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow in the Marvel Cinematic Universe are already in place.

"I think people are going to be surprised by how powerful Scarlett is in this movie, and how evolved her role is," Feige told Movieline. "We have already planned her next appearances and where to take that character because we believe in it and we believe in her in a big, big way. When will there be a standalone? Both is what we’re heading toward. A lot of it is that we’re only going to make two movies a year, maybe sometimes it’ll be one movie a year like this year, maybe someday it’ll be three movies a year just depending on what comes together. But really, it’s two movies. So there’s kind of a backup on the runway right now in terms of when can something go. We do like when some of the characters appear in other people’s movies."

Meanwhile, Joss Whedon spoke to Yahoo! Movies with some commentary on the Thor/Iron Man fight scene.

In a slightly spoiler-y interview with MTV, Tom Hiddleston offers theories on how Thor managed to get back down to Earth without the help of the Bifrost bridge.

Collider spoke with Mark Ruffalo, who revealed he has signed a six picture deal with Marvel to portray Bruce Banner. The actor also spoke about his first time reading the script and a deleted scene he was disappointed to see hit the cutting room floor.

Directed by Joss Whedon and starring everybody. Opens May 4

PROMETHEUS

"Prometheus" has a brand new featurette with Ridley Scott and the cast describing the making of the upcoming sci-fi epic.

Opens June 8

DREDD

While speaking with Red Carpet News TV, "Dredd" Executive Producer Stuart Ford spoke about the draw of the upcoming reboot of the Judge Dredd film franchise starring Karl Urban.

"The version of Dredd that we've made is first of all very authentic to the original comic book, the original 2000 AD comic character," Ford told Red Carpet News. "It's gritty, it's dark, it's deadpan and we think we've made a movie that has a real edginess to it. It also has a great visual style, there's an authenticity to it. It also has a propulsive, super-contemporary score and we think Dredd fans, we think fanboys, we think action fans, we think anyone who appreciates leading-edge cinema is going to really respond to the movie."

Opens September 21

MUCH ADO ABOUT AVENGERS

CBS News interviewed "Avengers" director Joss Whedon about Earth's Mightiest Movie, but also showed the first footage of Whedon's "Much Ado About Nothing," which was apparently filmed entirely at the director's home in Santa Monica. The first footage appears below, but there's no way to skip past "The Avengers" segment to get to it. The interview is pretty interesting, though.
