DARK KNIGHT RISES

Once again, new details on "The Dark Knight Rises" have dried up, but Batman-News.com has scoured the recent Empire Magazine article and pulled a quote from David Goyer about early talks to include The Riddler in Christopher Nolan's third Batman film.

Apparently, executives were already talking about The Riddler and who would play him during the premiere of "The Dark Knight."

"It's gonna be The Riddler, and we want it to be Leonardo DiCaprio," Batman-News.com reports Goyer as saying.

Although we now know Nolan went with a different "Inception" alum to play the villain -- Tom Hardy as Bane -- DiCaprio as The Riddler certainly would have made for an interesting film.

ARROW

IGN spoke with "Arrow" star Stephen Amell about the upcoming CW drama based on "Green Arrow," divulged that DC Comics CCO Geoff Johns had visited the set and expounded about "Arrow's" take on Oliver Queen.

"We tried to make him as real as possible," Amell told IGN. "The character doesn’t have any superpowers. Nobody on the show has any superpowers. ['Arrow' pilot director] David Nutter -- I think he said this when a picture of the costume was released -- when he made Smallville, he wanted to find the humanity in Clark Kent. We’re looking for the humanity in Oliver Queen too. He’s gone through a ton to get to where he is, and we’re going to explore how he got there. But we wanted to make sure that he was really properly weighted and real."

Airs Fall 2012 on the CW

THOR 2

Chris Hemsworth spoke with The L.A. Times' Hero Complex about his portrayal of the God of Thunder, the direction the character will take for "Thor 2" following "The Avengers" and his feelings on "Game of Thrones'" Alan Taylor directing.

"Yeah, yeah, actually my wife got me into 'Game of Thrones,' and we started sort of on the Internet watching them every week and became obsessed with them," Hemsworth told Hero Complex. "And then I was given the whole series because Alan was meeting to do 'Thor 2.' What I loved is [that the show] had a sort of mythical element to it, yet it was grounded in a really organic reality. And that’s what I think would be nice about 'Thor 2' -- if there were more sort of tangible environments to be involved in. The first 'Thor' was sort of science-fiction, and there were a lot of sets and things. It would be nice to kind of have Asgard as somewhat relatable and have big waterfalls and cliffs and mountains, and then have in the distance maybe several moons or suns or some sort of science-fiction element. But I think as an audience, it’s much easier to be drawn in if it’s something you feel a part of."

Also, according to Exhibitor Relations, "Thor 2" got moved up a week from a November 15, 2013 release to November 8, 2013.
