Amazing Spider-Man, Black Panther, Justice League: June 6th Comic Reel

Happy Gwensday! Emma Stone was on Jay Leno last night to promote "The Amazing Spider-Man." The actress introduced a new clip of the film found right around the 3:30 mark of this video.

Who knew she was such a fan of "iCarly?" That is one funny Gwen Stacy.

According to the folks over at Latino Review, Marvel Studios' 2014 film following "Captain America 2" will be "Black Panther." The news site has confirmed with "four different trusted sources" that the Wakandan hero will be getting his own film. Last year, it was reported that Marvel had hired Mark Bailey as the film's scribe. While it's still a rumor, the introduction of Wakanda, at least, would make a lot of sense considering Cap's shield is made of vibranium.

Speaking of upcoming films, Warner Bros. has tapped "Gangster Squad" writer Will Beall to write a "Justice League" script. Apparently, Warner Bros. had been assembling the superhero-team movie in anticipation of "The Avengers" box office success.

Although Beall hasn't yet turned in his "Justice League" script, "Kick-Ass" writer Mark Millar sounded off on his message boards about the news, saying, "the tidbits I heard sound quite dark and mature, which isn't what I expected." Interesting stuff.


Speaking of DC films, the Official "Dark Knight Rises" Facebook page has posted a new TV spot for the film. Regrettably, Facebook doesn't allow its videos to be embedded, so you'll just have to click through to view it. Advance tickets go on sale June 11.

A juicy tidbit about Matthew Vaughn's upcoming "X-Men: First Class" sequel hit the web yesterday: 20th Century Fox has registered "Days of Future Past" with the MPAA Title Registration Bureau. Should the title actually apply to Vaughn's sequel, it seems likely it will draw inspiration from the Chris Claremont/John Byrne iconic X-Men story of the same name.
