Marvel Comics has released its share of teaser images over the past few years, though today's is one of the more flat out enigmatic ones.

In advance of "Amazing Spider-Man" #692 in August, the publisher is promoting the question "Who is Alpha?" with the below image. Considering that the move is meant to synch up with Spidey's 50th Anniversary, the Greek character shown may have something to do with Peter Parker's origins in scientific -- perhaps even similar to the teased plot of this summer's "Amazing Spider-Man" movie. Sound off with what you think it means on the CBR Message Boards!
