SUICIDE FOREST

Spinoff Online reports "Ringu" director Hideo Nakata is currently attached to helm "The Suicide Forest," an adaptation of the IDW Publishing series of the same name by El Torres and Gabriel Hernandez. The 2010 miniseries centers on Aokigahara, the forest outside Tokyo considered to be the most famous suicide spot in the world. Following the suicide of an American expatriate's girlfriend, the American is tormented by her vengeful spirit. No release date has been announced.

DOCTOR WHO

Alex Zalben over at MTV has provided a round-up of new details from Stephen Moffat's various interviews on the upcoming season of "Doctor Who" and the Doctor's mysterious new companion, Clara. According to Moffat, Clara has no links to previous characters, is a human from a contemporary earth and her journey will be shocking and intriguing. It's very possible Moffat is carefully treading the line between half-truths, but if everything he says is actual fact, "Doctor Who" has the potential to be a very different show this season.
