Legendary "Watchmen" creator Alan Moore is currently best known for his work in comics, but he may soon be known for working in another medium altogether. Lex Records has announced that Moore and director Mitch Jenkins' series of short films called "Show Pieces" will debut at The Creators Project event in New York City, October 2012.

The first two installments of "Show Pieces," entitled "Act of Faith" and "Jimmy's End," are Moore's first pieces written specifically for the screen. "Act of Faith" stars "Sherlock" actress Siobhan Hewlett and "Jimmy's End" is set for filming later this summer.

According to Lex Records, which serves as a producer on the project, "Show Pieces" was originally intended to be a ten-minute, one-shot film. Moore previously teamed up with Lex Records for his multimedia project "Unearthing," an experiment in sequential storytelling involving music, photographs and recorded narration.
