Following the success of Telltale Games' "The Walking Dead" episodic series, it's unsurprising that other video game companies would want to jump on Robert Kirkman's zombie bandwagon -- but Activision has a slightly different take on its "The Walking Dead" video game, announced earlier today. While Telltale's "The Walking Dead" is a point-and-click action-adventure game where players realize the consequences of their actions, Activision has a first-person shooter planned.
IGN reports Activision's shooter takes place in the universe of the AMC television series rather than the comic book and revolves around characters Daryl and Merle Dixon on a "haunting, unforgiving quest to make their way to the supposed safety of Atlanta." Players will have to deal with scarce supplies of food and ammunition and will encounter "a slew of other characters" that may or may not accompany Daryl according to the player's decisions. IGN also posted a teaser trailer for the game and referenced an official website that will serve as a hub for future info on the game.
