In June, Dynamite Entertainment and Liquid Comics premiered "Dinosuars Vs. Aliens," a hardcover graphic novel pitting Earth's mightiest beings and invaders from space against each other for control of Earth. Today, Liquid Comics announced creators Barry Sonnenfeld and Grant Morrison are bringing their vision to a mission comic set to debut July 23. Yahoo! has posted a trailer for the comic featuring both Sonnenfeld and Morrison speaking about bringing the graphic novel to motion comics.

"Originally, I came up with a concept, which is 'What would happen if aliens invaded Earth 65 million years ago and the dinosaurs had to defend Earth against this alien invasion?' That was the initial idea," said Sonnenfeld, who conceptualized the plot of the secret battle for Earth.

"Most films that have been based on a comic for instance try to emulate or to ape the comic. We've got two different versions of this thing," said Morrison. "I don't think anything like it has ever been seen before."

The original graphic novel was plotted by Sonnenfeld, written by Morrison and drawn by Mukesh Singh and is currently available from Dynamite Entertainment. Check out the full teaser trailer for the motion comic below.
