Official Press Release

Radio Comix has selected Diamond Book Distributors as the exclusive U.S. and non-exclusive worldwide distributor of English-language editions of its graphic novels to bookstore, library, warehouse, and mass merchandising markets.

Since 1997, Radio Comix has published some of the longest-running independent comic books like Furrlough, Genus, Milk!, and many more. The company publishes mainly niche titles, preferring to concentrate on high-quality stories and art in such alternative genres as Funny Animals, Manga, Adult, and Art Books.

"Radio Comix maintains a sharp focus on its defined core market, proving that a narrow focus does not have to mean narrow potential," said Diamond Vice President of Purchasing Bill Schanes. "Radio is proof positive that knowing, listening to, and cultivating a strong fan base leads to success, regardless of the niche."

Radio Comix is looking forward to expanding into the book market over the next several years. "Diamond has proven the great potential that comic stories offer to the book market," said Radio Comix sales manager Matthew High. "With their impressive and successful track record of bringing comic books to a wider audience, it was only natural to choose Diamond as our book distributor."

"Radio Comix has a style and substance unique to its products, and we look forward to showing these to the world at large," added Schanes.

Diamond's Sales Team will begin working with bookstores, book wholesalers, warehouse clubs, mass merchandisers, and libraries to place Radio Comix's books across the country.
